What a crybaby...he was perfectly happy to say all the "right things" as long as he was "the guy". Now that he has been released, he decides to be a man and say what he thinks...More like sour grapes than anything else.

Everybody knows that pro sports is a use them until they can't perform anymore kind of thing. Westbrook knew that going does every other jock that goes pro in any sport. Owners want to put a competitive team on the field for the cheapest possible cost...players want to play where they can earn the most money...there is no loyalty in sports, its all about the money.

If you were smart with your money, you can retire and live a liesurely life wanting for nothing. If you spent all your money...they are hiring at BurgerKing every day.Welcome to the real world, Brian.

Not me...I am not a fan of the Eagles. I just think he is being a hypocrite...he took their money and acted the part of the "good soldier". Now that the reality of age and diminishing talent plus injuries have arrived at his doorstep, he acts like he thinks he should get preferred treatment...that ain't the way it is in the business of pro football. If the Eagles were a sub-.500 club and he could get more money from another team, he would be gone in a flash. The teams use the players, the players use the teams and neither one gives a rat's a$$ about the fans, loyalty or honor. That is true of football, baseball, basketball and just about any other pro sport you care to mention. It is also true of just about any other business...your employer would happily pay somebody else less to do your job and replace you in a heartbeat, just as you would happily hand in your two weeks notice if you could make more money working someplace else. That is the reality of capitalism and the free market...nothing wrong with that either, by the way, it is just the way it is. Our task is to make ourselves more valuable than the next guy, so that we are not easily replaced.
