Dreadful effort by Eli

Eli has always been a 2nd tier QB and that was proven yet again yesterday. He has managed to put together 1 good season in his entire career and it occurred over 2 different years - the 2007 playoffs and the 2008 regular season. Other than that, he has been unreliable and sloppy. I knew after the 1st play of the game - when he missed a wide open Steve Smith - that the Eli of old was back and the Giants were going to lose. Yes, the D didn't have their best game and the coaching was questionable, but Eli's inability to complete passes and make good decisions allowed the Eagles to focus on the run. Furthermore, the Giants had 5 FG attempts, which further proves the ineffectiveness of the offense in completing drives. Brace yourselves Giant fans...the real Eli is back.

Holy crap! Eli won the Super Bowl last year and people are already throwing him under the bus?!? He wasn't great yesterday, but is he entirely to blame? Both quarterbacks yesterday couldn't get it going. But the defensive injuries started to wear out the defense. His receivers weren't helping him out, and without a #1 receiver like Plaxico getting double teamed, it makes the passing game difficult. I think it is way too early in Eli's career to start saying he is a 2nd tier QB. He's got a SB ring for crying out loud! How many first tier QB's can say that!

The blame for this loss has to go
to Tom and Kevin. The Giants ran
the ball well all year, If the
took the game plan from the
Pather game and used it yesterday
we would be saying one more win and
the G-men are back in the SuperBowl
Eli did not play well on Sunday
His receivers gave him no help
either. Yes the players have to
perform, but the Coaches have to
give the players a chance to win
with giving them plays that have
a chance of being successful.
1st and five and you have a empty
backfield are you kidding me
Jacobs was avg almost 5yrds a
carry. Where was the play action
why was Moss and Manningham on the
bench we didn't use them..
The Giant's never changed the point
of attack. Not enough sweeps no end
arounds. Nothing very vanilla play
calling. Tom hasn't learned that you
don't kick field goals over 35 yrds
in the Meadowlands when the wind is
blowing. Now Giant fan's we get to
watch some other time go on.
The team blew a great chance to be
something special. How hard is it
to be 12-4, we can hope to be that
good next year.
Please send AP packing, He could
cover the floor if he was passed
out drunk on it..
12-4 is nothing to sneeze at but
this team could have been so much

Yesterday was really bad for the Giants but let's face it; had they beat the Eagles at Giant's stadium and defeated the Vikings, neither of those teams would have made the palyoffs and the Giants would not have had to deal with the Eagles yesterday. Another item that amazes me is that when they decided to build the new stadium they didn't include a sliding roof like many toher stadiums. The owner's are charging a premium for seating so they could have made everyone comfortable including the fans.
