Now the vikings have to trade for a DE. there are absolutely nothing left for free agents. Way to go vikings. so worried about getting our 3DRB that we missed out on 2 defensive ends.

No word yet, must be they cannot agree on the money since he wants to play there.

Probably concerned about his health vs. the price.

The Vikes could have had Kearse on their roster all along. Instead, in '99, we drafted Daunte Culpepper. Thanks Denny.

Yeah, I'm not happy about it either. But everyone and their brother knew that The Vikes were going to go after DEs, so they tossed 'em a $h!t-load of $$ to NOT take a plane here. They HAD to concentrate on a high-profile WR first, otherwise everyone would've been bustin' Klinks' wazoo over it.- And Safety was important. I just think that DE was even bigger. Oh well... They don't listen to any of us... Lol

The vikings really need some help up front on defense after losing Tank Williams, Kenichi Udeze, and Erasmas James. So its good that they are looking at Jevon Kerse who will be a good vetran lineman

I'll take Kearse and his crutches... he's better than a one armed Badger and a roided up Boiler! We won't even mention the midget.
I actually think that if the roided up Boiler can stay out of trouble...and roids, that he could turn out pretty good if given the chance to start every game. Sure beats trying to sign whatever scraps are left just to sign someone. I'm with you on the no-knee badger, geeze what a bust!

The Vikings spent just what they had to – to reach the required league salary cap minimum. Wilf is no different than McCombs. They still have no QB and teams will contimue to pass on them at will as they will have zero pass rush once again. Worst coach and worst QB in the league and no plan whatsoever. Typical.

I feel that in order for the Vikings to sign Kearse, they would have had to make a substantial offer over what the Titans paid. Kearse said he wanted to play there and finish out his career. Not over bidding for a player with injuries is the right move.

Javon Kearse signed a 2-year deal/6 million....

DEs: There was only a couple that were worth much, and more than a few teams that needed 'em. They were given a bunch of cash to not come here. They're probably going to have to trade for one. -Maybe that's the better option, anyway. The draft is loaded with some real good ones.

Look at this article. This is our media at its finest. The headline gives the impression that the Vikings are pinning hope against hope that Kearse comes for the visit. AS IF IT IS THE VIKINGS OPINION. But yet when you read the article, there is no quote attributed to any Vikings management that would corroborate the headline, instead it is actually THE OPINION OF THE WRITER. This is why the media sucks now in the United States, instead of reporting news they are in the business of CREATING news.

"Creative Journalism", especially in sports, bites. I agree. Like this article in The Star Tribune that said how The Vikings have "failed to retain any of their free agents". Giving the reader the impression that they all wanted to leave, and no matter how The Vikings pleaded, they refused to stay. When the truth is, M.M. was deliberately replaced by Hicks. Tank was taking up space, so they let him go, Etc. etc. And your post is quite correct. THIS article. I didn't here anyone crying, freaking out, beseeching divine intervention, HOPING to have Kearse come here and save them. In fact, the biggest panic I've seen has been some of the posters on here. Those players have been paid to not come here by other teams. Some - not all - but some people that post on here would've bi-t-ched if we signed a DE for big bucks, and Berrian signed some place else. That's just the way it is.

The bridge is right there, you might even be able to see it from your street. The promise land is within your reach. Fold up your cardboard box and make the pilgrimage across the state line and start undermining everything the packers do. You were meant for each other, sconny and fire chilly, a match made in heaven.

Jevon Kearse does not like Brad Childress. Nobody does, actually.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Libra

Don't try to do too much at once today or you'll disappear up you know what! You're all fingers and thumbs, accident-prone and things start breaking. It won't help if you're trying to concentrate at work and a certain chatterbox doesn't know when to shut up. Ask them to be quiet but try not to sound shrewish.
