Full story: TwinCities.com

finially you guys removed your lips from favre's sack long enough to say something about the VIKES....hopefully Kerse has enough left to play 15 to 20 snaps a game at high speed...with our tackles there's no reason an end can't get 10 to 15 sacks

It must be torture for any athlete who had performed at an Olympian level (NFL star at defensive end) to accept and rehabilitate so debilitating an injury as a broken tibia and torn ligaments. Even two years later, Kearse is undoubtedly feeling the strain and lamenting the loss of power he once felt in his legs. Nevertheless, he was and remains a fierce competitor who can probably contribute in pass-rush situations on our team. I hope the Vikings can sign him to a good, if not grandiose contract, and that he finishes out his career with us. Wouldn't it be great if he makes a key QB sack in a crucial game, and it puts us in the playoffs? You gotta be able to dream it first, before you can do it!

Totally agree with both posts. They have the players to use Kearse as mostly a situational guy. He seems to have enough juice left for that, and maybe more. It IS a cast-iron bi-t-ch seeing health crap like his happen to a great player. But that's the game...

Grab Kearse with an incentive-laden contract, and draft some young DE studs. If nothing else, he might serve as a decent mentor to the new guys.

Look at this article. This is our media at its finest. The headline gives the impression that the Vikings are pinning hope against hope that Kearse comes for the visit. AS IF IT IS THE VIKINGS OPINION. But yet when you read the article, there is no quote attributed to any Vikings management that would corroborate the headline, instead it is actually THE OPINION OF THE WRITER. This is why the media sucks now in the United States, instead of reporting news they are in the business of CREATING news.

Sorry guys, I dont think kearse will even make it here, The vikings should have been making these DE's first priority after berrian, instead of hosting Hicks, it's thier own fault. Now all these players are doing is using the vikings as barganing chips to try get more money from the club they are visiting, much like berrian did with the raiders

This will end up being another blown opportunity by the boneheads that run this team. Should have been one of the first visits scheduled.

After reading this article in the Tennessean, there is no way Kearse is even coming to Minnesota. He wants to stay in Tennessee badly.

See how you can help Kenechi Udeze. Support a leukemia and lymphoma fundraiser and possibly receive autographed Viking mini helmets signed by Chuck Foreman and Warren Moon. For more information visit http://www.makopoetic.com/makopoetic%20gatewa...

Why would we want Kearse when he clearly wants to be with the Titans? No reason to bring in someone who doesn't want to be here.

So package draft picks, get pick #1 and draft Chris Long. Additionally I think we should have resigned/extended the contract of Spencer Johnson. He's a very good player. It seems tho we let guys leave and replace them with someone else, not necesarily as good or better.

I'd rather see the team trade some picks for a stud pass rusher than sign a guy who may be past his prime. I hope they don't over pay for a guy like Kearse who sounds like he does not want to be hear anyways.

That would be ok, because you know the vikings will throw the money at him.

With the Vikings already fulfilling needs through free agency, they can use some of their 9 draft picks to draft a DE or package the picks in a trade for a quality DE from a team in need of draft picks... might be a longshot but I'm thinking Jason Taylor.

I'll take Kearse and his crutches... he's better than a one armed Badger and a roided up Boiler! We won't even mention the midget.

I hit the link and read the article. If the story is accurately reported there, you are correct. Kearse does not want to be here, and will use us as a bargaining chip to get a better deal with the Titans. We should take our focus off of him and fill this need in the draft.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Libra

If someone owes you money and you're beginning to think that you'll never get it back, this is an excellent day to chase them up. They may not cave in straightaway but at least you'll have had your say and done what you can. Watch out for a tendency to lose your temper, because although this could be quite dramatic if you're usually the soul of equanimity it could work against you if you become aggressive or unpleasant.
