Kahuku has two alumni's playing in the Super Bowl and they're also former high school teammates playing againts each other. Chris Kemoeatu of the Steelers is going for his second Super Bowl ring, and Aaron Francisco of the Cards is going for his first. After all said and done, Kahuku High will end with another Super Bowl ring from one of its alumni. Go Big Red, Kahuku for Life!

Curious, UH could not keep either one of em home... Common, among many Red Raiders...

In the past UH was unable to keep the elite talent in Hawaii regardless of what high school they attended.

Kawika, this is an interesting subject. In the old days, kids from Hawaii left because it seemed that it was more progressive, chances to be seen were better, playing for "bigger" programs made you more visible to NFL teams. Today, there still is some truth to this old belief. However, things have changed. The NFL recruiters look high and low for talent. They are no longer content with just finding out who's graduating from USC, UCLA, or Ohio state... NFL recruits come from all over the college map, Division 1, 2, 3, and JC players have all made it to the NFL. They are looking for Size, Speed, and Ability to play. Most of the time in THAT order. So no matter where you go, if your goal is the NFL, if you tear it up and dominate, you will get your NFL shot. Of course, it would be better to go to USC than Mount San Antonio JC. But if you have the goods, they'll find you.

Yeah Ben, Roman Gabriel was a big filipino who also became an actor with John Wayne in the movie Undefeated. Maybe Aaron Francisco might make hollywood notice him too. Good looking Indian make believe too.

Macmackin liked what he saw when he visited our campus so now the warriors will have six or maybe 7 former Kahuku players next year and maybe 2 or 3 will start. Inoke Funaki should go back to Defensive back, along with Paipai Falemalu, Aulola Tonga, Richard Torres, TUIKA and a few others i forgot who.

Why was this guy on the field on the final scoring drive? His poor pass coverage on that last drive and lack of speed cost them dearly. Not to mention, he was one of the THREE defenders that got burnt by Santonio Holmes. Bad day for Francisco.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Aquarius

Avoid making promises today, or even believing in other people's promises. Today is not a good day to make commitments, as they are not likely to materialise. Taking risks is a no-no. Try to relax until the numbers are in your favour. Those pursuing their career will benefit.
