It was a great, courageous effort for the Chargers!

Just looking at Mike Downey's prediction in Sunday's paper that San Diego would win. Can't quite decide if he was mocking them with a tongue-in-cheek forecast or if he was for real.

Strange, Mike Downey predicted in yesterday's paper that the Chargers would win. As usual, he was wrong. It looks like he's just another Patriot hating jealous columnist who tries to will the team playing the Patriots to a win. It hasn't worked, it won't work. Give it up, Mike, and admit you're totally wrong in your predictions.

I stopped reading Mike or taking his headlines seriously. Picking the Chargers was to generate attention to his otherwise boring, unintersting, unfunny column.

I still chuckle over his self righteousness over Indian Mascots.

This is ridicules.... if you are not 100% fit then there were some other guys who could play. if LT and river felt fit in practice then match is no exception. the truth is you can't beet NE no matter what. if your defense cant get the ball in 10 minutes in crucial 4th quarter then you should not think of winning match (Specially when NE is your opponent). so please chargers, don't make any excuse.

Way to go Chargers! That was the most courageous thing I've ever seen!!
LT, Rivers and Gates should be proud of themselves, as well as all of SanDiego.
We in NE watched with incredible respect. That was the topic of discussion here, even after the Championship.
The Chargers are so well-tooled, they should be healthy and ready to make another go at it next year!
We'll see you then!
Congrats on a great season!!!
