Hay Pats Fans ..... Listen, it’s gotten real quite around here! Why do you think this is?
You know, at this point, I would think it fitting to rethink this so-call rivalry between the PATs and the Colts.
Perhaps it should be down graded and the SAN DIEGO CHARGERS ought to be elevated to legitimate rivalry status with us – given that they are a legitimate contender – with or without their starting QB; with or without their starting RB; with or without their starting WR.
Obviously, their backup skilled players are better then the Colts starters – I think that that San Diego backup QB, for the time he was in, had better stats than that starting QB for the Colts!
But then again, how could this be. The greatest QB that ever played the game with all those stats and 1 ( not 3 ) Super Bowl Rings --- ya know Mr. Clutch QB Manning ---
How could a backup QB to an inconstant San Diego QB do better then Mr. Clutch QB Manning – ah and the greatest QB that ever played the game?
Pat’s Fans, can’t ya just hear all those so-called Colts fans out there comparing Mr. Clutch QB Manning to Johnny U; and as usual, dismissing Tom Brady as one of the great QBs on the basis of everything else but FOOTBALL FACTS?
Oh! my BRETHREN PATs FANS; Can’t ya just hear those so-called Colts fans, in all there glory and class BOOOING that 14 year old young lady, who was a gust in their house to receive an award for accomplishment --- my fellow PATRIOTS FANS, can’t ya hear those classy BOOOs?
NO ya can not – because they have been quieted by a football team with more hart than that over-rated, pompous, dysfunctional group known as the Colts ( by fluke: the reigning NFL Champions ) who, in defense of that Championship, could not win late in the game, with 2 shots from inside the red zone.
No, no, this is a true story my fellow Patriots Fans: Mr. Clutch QB Manning ( sometimes, absurdly so, compared with Johnny U ) could not close the deal ( for Colts “fans” edification ) MANNING CHOKED ( as usual ).
When will Manning learn ya got to motivate and lead your team – not just rack up the stats!
To win at football, you have to have the skills and the game plan. But to become consistently good; and to win consistently and to win the “big ones – in clutch situations” consistently, there must be leadership, both organizational leadership and personal leadership.
P Manning is as skillful as any QB to ever play the game; and he is respected as such by anyone who know anything about competition and the game of football.
What P Manning lacks, is that personal willingness and/or ability to lead men on a personal level as a team.
This personal leadership quality is what pulls a team together when things are tough in clinch situations – when the plays have to be made.
This is what wins the ultimate Championships – consistently. This is what the Patriots have that the Colts do not have. This is what prevents consistent ( for lack of a more appropriate term ) chocking.

But those so-called fans should be use to this. Oh they brag about all Manning’s records, and the number of Championships they have – but they fail to note that in the Manning era only 1 of those Championships ultimately count for greatness.
Ya can’t be all that if ya can’t win the big one ---- consistently – at lease for a decent run.
All the great teams have won the ultimate Championship; and have successfully defended; or won more then once and within a short period of each.
That’s right: I am saying that a team can not be great, if it can not win The Big One; and win it more then once within a short period of time with essentially the same team in tact.
There are just so many teams like the CHARGERS of the late ‘70s – mid 80’s:( al a Foust, Winslow, Waters, Joiner, Jones, at al .– fantastic players to be sure, and fantastic teams at points – but not great – for as much talent and hart; and stats – they never won the ultimate Championship, let alone successfully defend – which is the coup de gars ).
Personal states means nothing without the ultimate Championship
Regular season wins mean nothing without the ultimate Championship.
Undefeated regular seasons mean nothing without the ultimate Championship.
But of course, we as Patriots Fans know this.
And so my fellow Patriots Fans ENJOY THE DEAFENING SILENCE FROM THOSE DOME DWELLERS, as we move on to the next game – one at a time, game-by-game.

I don't. I want to see the patriots play the best team. Obviously the Chargers are a better team than the Colts.
"Any given Sunday ..."
If they played that game over 100 times the Colts would have won 80 of them.
I'm a Pats fan in MA and I can tell you almost everyone here is RELIEVED we're not playing the Colts.

Seriously Colts fans.....most of us wanted the rematch in Foxborough. It's like playing the yankees. it ain't right if you don't beat them. Good season, and see y'all next year.
We were all sick to our stomachs last year, but the sun will come up, probably.

I am a Colts fan and i am still here. After reading these posts I just dont have anything to say till next year. I luv peyton and wouldnt trade him for anyone but i must admit Brady is a better clutch performer(i cant believe i said that). We will be back next year i think everyone knows that. I hope the super bowl is not a blowout but i dont think there is anyway the Pats lose.. Congrats on a great season NE and yes you will probably go down as the best EVER, but remember one day you will be like the 72 Dolphins saying remember when. Good Luck and GO COLTS in 09.

I was very sad to see that the usually classy Colts fans were classless. I don't mean all Colts fans but enough to hear. They booed a 14 year old girl for wearing a Patriots' jersey for winning her age group punt, pass, and kick competition.

John! Please! The majority of the Colts fans are what we knew they were ... they are exactly as you heard when they announced that young lady’s name a achievement: THIS IS THE FACE OF THE COLTS! IT IS THE TRUE FACE OF THE COLTS.

Have no fear, Polian will most likely be in the League office trying to get a new rule in place that will help his team avoid first round play-off eliminations.

Ya know, just like any “classy’ team official would do.

The Colts had NO Chance of beating the Pats, they couldn't even handle the beat down Bolts. They had so many starters out, the Colts were practialy playing the Bolts Practice Squad.
THEY JUST BLEW IT !!!!

The Colts have had their time in the sun, and the door is slowly closing. The other teams in the Afc south are about to catch up with this talented team of perennial under acheivers. The oppurtunity to have 2,3,or 4 World Championships instead of just 1 is squandered EVERY year. This team does not even deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as the Pats. The New England guys play for world championships year in and out;the Colts roll over and die in each post season.Kravitz said they were the Atlanta Braves of baseball. His analogy was clumsy yet somewhat accurate. I prefer to think of these Colts as the Buffalo Bills of this decade-you know the guys that played in and lost 4 consecutive Super Bowls. The coach,Marv Levy, was an Ivy League professor with a Phd in English.Very quiet and reserved. The players weren't yelled at,and oh,by the way...Polian was the GM.I see some similarities there but maybe its just me.The coaches he lost the 4 super bowls to were all fire breathers in the post season.Say what you will, the history of the NFL shows that the firebreathers ALWAYS win more Championships than the quiet, reserved guys.I say, thank you Tony for all that you have done.May you always have the best of eveything.Bye. God bless.NOW GO GET A FIREBEREATHER !!!
