"I was OK with the old way," Longwell said in a text message. "It seems the way we lost in the championship game is what they want to avoid. So I'm all for the change and new strategy."
IT would have prevented the Vikes from turning the ball over 5 times, twice in the RZ? Or the Vikes having 12 men in the huddle?
These contributed far more to the Vikes loss than the rules for OT.

What Longwell really meant was......
A compensatory point awarded out of pitty after every 6th fumble
....The Vikings had six fumbles, two shy of the single-game postseason record....
