Vikings' Cedric Griffin out for rest of season with torn ACL

The hits just keep on coming for the Minnesota Vikings. Starting right cornerback Cedric Griffin tore his right anterior cruciate ligament during the fourth quarter of Monday's 29-20 loss to the Jets, according to a person close to the situation. Full Story

Oh no! Cook had better step up and take over now. Lito has been ok at times but we need Cook's size and speed.

I think our team puzzle this year is missing too many pieces. Gotta keep rooting for them though.

So sorry Ced, you were just warming up for a good season. Lets hope we see you next year.

On a different note, Childress on why the timeout and 2 opt conversion:"Could you use one? Could you use two? There are nine and something minutes to go in the fourth quarter and typically you are going to go for two. One was the same as two. We went for two. I might not be able to give you a clear answer, but we would love to have two there."
I rest my case for his firing NOW!!!!

I predict he'll make another full recovery and return to top form for training camp.

or it's all good now xcept it isn't pre-season week one to build up the synch so yeah we beat the cowboys(the record against them the budding soft rivalry them not playing well worse than us maybe), packers (team will play hard for this), and from there it depends on how we win those games
hopefully that last game was like the bears mnf game last year and we just catapult from there
then again I'm a optomist

now we will miss benny sapp and we wont be able to limit cooks snaps and guess what our superior D that's kept us in games longer than we should have will once again have a depleted secondary that we'll get burnt on

I think that the poster "idea" is really Chilly, you can see the same rambling pattern. We are on to you "idea" aka Childress.

Too bad, he played a very good game last night. We won't be able to replace him unless Cook can stay healthy too, and that doesn't appear to be something that's going to happen.

When he was sitting on the field he slammed his hands to the ground and appeared to say "gosh darn it". He obviously knew that he shredded his other knee. So he'll have another long rehab and come back almost as good as new. Are there any other players who have torn the ACL in both knees?

This is bad news. We need corner help now. Asher Allen spent all night doing a great imitation of Wasswa Serwanga. Didn't they call him "TOAST"?
