Sapp was definitely expendable, played well last year but had some brainfarts in previous years for us and in Denver. Gotta admire the initiative the Vikes are takin', signing two guys at WR immediately, I like that, tells me they are serious about gettin' this ring. Vikes will be fine, can't wait for the 9th.

Let's hope Favre can build a little chemistry with the group on hand. I would have like to see all the players back for the New Oileans game. I guess we will just have to demolish them with what we've got.

Fans seem to think this schedule is insurmountable, I wholeheartedly disagree-Az and Philly are not even close to what they were last year, losing those QB's is huge, and the Vikes match up real well against the Jets and Pats, put a rush on Sanchez and stop their run game-which is exactly what we do BEST-and you win, same with the Pats, Brady is not your most moblie QB, pressure him and we win. Dallas, well just look at what happened in the playoffs, we match up well with them also.

Put pressure on the opposing teams QB and you normally win, Vikes do that better than any team in the league, Vikes O can put up points with any team in the league-schedule is not a problem.

of the article is all wrong - when a player wants for coverage skills (i.e. gets burned all the time at this level) he's not a part of what we would call the *depth* of the coverage corps - of course he's expendible, and this was an excellent trade.

At least we received some value for Sapp rather than just cutting him. Let's hope the new guys stay in stride and we don't miss a step. Skol Vikings.

Nice but we need to address the OL. We have a nice defense (hoping for the safeties to play this year) and a good offense if we can keep Brett up. Artis gone is huge, now what? Sullivan hurt, Cooper no tx, Cook no tx, DeGeare too raw, Herrera(?), Radovich no tx.

The trade needs to come from the DL where we are deep. I do not know who needs to go...Kennedy, Evans, Guion, Mitchell (don't touch Brian R), the rookie but we are deep there and that would be the spot to do it. Get an OL ASAP.

Benny Sapp's lack of speed is one thing. But it was the was the dumb penalties at the worst time that sealed the deal.To get a glue fingered slot reciever underneath for him was a darn good move.If the Vikes don't sign Josh Ostrue out of St.Thomas after the draft,if not in the late rounds. It might be a loss they will regret! The kid can play in the NFL!

It was nice having a Panther on the squad representing my Alma mater but the Vikes gotta do what the Vikes gotta do. Here's hoping the guys mesh well, get/stay healthy, and that they bring home the W's!
