Good point, 9 is a lot, 3 seconds would be nice. RB, O-LINEMAN, or DB, I don't study the draft too much past the first round so the rest of the way is kind of like pig Latin to me in terms of names of players, as long as we get players that help the team and will contribute it's all good. Don't forget that that Edwards thing is still out there, that situation could net the Vikes some more talent somewhere via trade down the road if he does get away from them, that situation could be affecting how we draft as well in terms of the personnel we take, just some food for thought.

I like Kindle, but he's coming from a 3-4 scheme, so I don't know if the coaches would want to deal with having to change his game here.

Others still availabe that fit the Vikes (besides the QB's):

S - Nate Allen
CB - Chris Cook, Akwasi Owusu-Ansah
G - Jon Asamoah
RB - Toby Gerhart

Good picks, those players can be had later, i think. Allen might be the first in that list to go off.

As for Kindle & the 3-4, remember, he's played it as a LB junior yr & a DE senior year (their weird name for it) That's coachability! Vikes like to bring lb's from time to time & kindle's bigger, stronger, faster, better pass rusher, than any of them. Plug him in Leber's slot, push leber to the middle & play Kindle aggressively. Cover the TE with him on pasing downs. Character issues are what has him dropping. he might have a viking "red dot". Irritating.

I'm fine with Kindle is they think he's OK making the adjustment. Still frustrated they couldn't land any of the top 5 CB's in what was the deepest CB draft in years.

And I agree on Nate Allen. I think Jamarca Sanford showed enough last year to merit more playing time, and it appears the coaches want to give it to him. Would be great if he proves to have been a late round steal, to go with a highly ranked S from this year's draft. That could be a quick fix to flush those floating turds they have out there now.

Judd Z from star trib tweeted Mays, Cook, & Kindle are 3 of the 4 on vikes list. He thinks robinson was maybe a guy vikes wanted to fall to 34 as well.

I've decided to rename the Vikings' defensive scheme from the 'Cover-2' to the 'Floating Turds'.

They drift about aimlessly, ocassionally bumping into something, and always stinking up the place.
