your totally wrong about the bud grant teams. they had NO heaters on the sideline due to bud grant saying if you want to stay warm go play. which is why teams hated coming here and we dominated during that time

Best saying I ever heard about the Vikings

"When they put a roof over their heads they should put a skirt around their waists."

PS: I heard that one from a longtime Vikes fan.

Strap it up and play...earn those bigassed salaries..of all the people who SHOULDN'T cry about work conditions, it is pro athletes...
Go Vikes, let us help the Norris Division have a real taffy pull in GreenBush as both the Bearlies and PackWads back into the Ho-hum tilt...for the right to become cannon fodder in the playoffs this year.

since our punter makes something like $50K a game, maybe the fans should be chanting "GRAVY TRAIN" whenever he takes the field...

Fan or player? Just curious how many died from weather issues when REAL men played the game?
Memo to Kluwe - if you don't shave your legs before the game, it might help you stay warmer while you stand on the sidelines for 59 minutes of the game tonight. You are an embarrassment to all men everywhere. Sure your name isn't Christine Kluwe?

National media making fun of the afraid to play in the cold Vikings. Oh, and that's right, Favre is thinking of um that would be playing tonight. National spotlight. Yep, he's got to be part of it. He aint missin that for nothin.

Playing on the frozen tundra should lessen the force of player contact...therefore outside of frozen appendages the only danger the players are in is the lost of kicking stats.

Good news for Viking fans !!!

To celebrate the announcement of a new contract deal for Brett Favre, I will raffle off 2 motorcycles during the final home game of the season vs. the Detroit Lions on January 2.
Ticketholders should hold on to their tickets.

How can I get a dome put over my farm? I've been outside all day taking hay to the cattle, and my neighbor's since he got his tractor stuck. First I had to clear a path in the snow to get through. I need the public to buy a roof over the place. And my fingers and toes are cold. So sad. After expenses I might clear 40.000 a year, not enough to go to a game. To top it off, I could fall down and hurt myself. tweet tweet tweet
Hey, if they can't win, at least let's make the games fun to watch. How about filling the dome with jello for next week's?

This weather whining makes me angry to say the least.

I believe the league minimum salary is $300000, that's $18750 a game. Imagine what that number is for the big time players. In my humble opinion when you make that kind of money, at some point all you get to say is "Yes Sir" and "How High".

Come on Whiners - Quit complaining and play football!

Kluwe is a punter, not a football player.

Chris Kluwe is due for a diaper change. He may need to hire a transport to a warmer clime, maybe where someone has heard of Chris Kluwe. What a putz.

@ FarmBoy

You're about as convincing a farm boy as I would be a bronc rider. You're "clearing a path," now? a week after the big snow? What have you been doing since?

And you know what? Forty ain't bad, for not having to sit in a cubicle all day and wait for The Man to decide he can hire your work out in Manila for chump change, so good-bye. I'm sure your "expenses" include all the groceries.

The toughness of Bud Grant's Vikings is even more amazing when you remember that they played in the days before high-tech cold weather fabrics. There was no Thinsulate, Gore-Tex, or UnderArmour. They actually relied on Eskimo techniques, like clapping your hands as hard as you could to increase the blood flow to frigid fingers. Wow!

They should put Kluwe in on kickoff coverage and find out what he's made of.
