Vikings left tackle Bryant McKinnie eyes Pro Bowl spot as a third alternate

After the fallout of being kicked off last year's Pro Bowl team for unexcused absences from practice, Vikings left tackle Bryant McKinnie wanted an undisputed Pro Bowl on his resume. Full Story

Hey Da Bears, would you like us to ship Matador Mckinnie to you and Mike Tice? The Vikings will even pay the freight...Will ship before midnight tonight...

You have got to be kidding.

Oh well, maybe making a Pro Bowl will help make McKinnie more valuable as trade bait, like maybe a third, or even second round pick?

This is why the Pro Bowl game itself is a joke. It's become an even bigger joke now that Goodell in his finite wisdom has decided it's better to play the game prior to the Super Bowl. Not only do the Super Bowl team's players miss the game, but so do a lot of the players from playoff teams that lost in the divisional and conference championship round. Instead of having 3-4 weeks to heal, now they only have 1-2, and quite of few of them will skip the game.

Unbelievable, Mckinnie is mediocre at best and that is stretching it. This guy is fat, slow, stupid and lazy. I wish thew Vikings would get rid of him. It is ludicrous that he thinks he is one of the elite tackles in the league. What a moron. He can not run block and is too slow to pass block against a average DE. Every game this year at least 2- 3 times I saw him standing there looking down at Farve, Jackson or Webb whilet the guy he was expected to block was laying on top of our quarterback. He has bulk but being slow and also slightly retarded he presents no problems for opposing defenses. I believe he is the main reason Peppers went to Chicago.
He's the main reason Peppers went to Chicago--now that is funny. LOL

Don't worry McKinnie, if the first two tackles get invited to some late nite parties I'm sure you'll get your chance to play.

BTW, exactly what things were said about you and your Pro Bowl absence that were not true?

Who is selecting these backups
If I was a QB I would drop out the minute he is added - someone could get hurt out there...

This only makes sense if Tarvaris is QB in the Pro Bowl.
They're made for each other.

You've got to be kidding me! The revolving door is concidered to be one of the best? He might be the best at eating, certainly not football. I'd hate to see him imbearass us at the Probowl, but what am I thinking? He's too lazy to go there anyway.

He had the 4th highest vote total for left tackles! What a joke. The whole o-line for the Vikes needs to be revamped.

Remind me again how many time Farve got nailed because old # 74 missed his block..
The Pro-Bowl should not take him for any reason...

Wonder if he was day dreaming on how elite he is when that Chicago Rookie blew by him knocking Farve out of the game?

Excellent point. Peppers knew he would have 5-6 sacks on McKinnie, what better way to spend a Sunday afetrnoon, all the while raising the interest for your next big contract.
In his defense that was Klink's fault 100%.........he should have had help by a chippping back or a double team.....leaving anyone alone blocking Peppers one on one the entire game is a mistake.
