Big game? You bet it is for the Texans

Full story: The Indianapolis Star

Some players are quick to insist all games are created equal. They'll tell you each is one-sixteenth of an NFL schedule, no more, no less.

I thinks its great that the Colts are winning but are doing it with balance and having to be scrappers. Wins that come too easy tend to lull everyone into a false security. It will take a lot of scrapping to beat this Houston team. They are where we were in Manning's first year.

This game is so important for both teams, as it is a divisional game, and also because these two teams will not meet again until the end of the season.

Houston might have a hard time dealing with the emotion...from what I've read this week, with this game being "their Super Bowl" I can easily seem them having troubles controlling the adrenaline and focusing.
The Colts have too many veteran playmakers who have been in a ton of big games before. This game is getting hyped largely because the Texans have a new QB and finally aren't one of the NFL's doormat teams this year.
All that being said, I don't see how the Texans are going to pose a bigger challenge than the Titans last week.

ALOT OF HOT AIR IN TEXAS. IT WILL SOON BE DEFLATED WHEN PEYTON BURNS THEM FOR 21-0 LEAD AT HALFTIME. LOOK WHO THEY PLAYED....THE BEST WAS CAROLINA WHO IS A FLOP BECAUSE THEY ARE SO INCONSISTANT. FALSE HOPE AND SECURITY ALONG WITH A THUMPING ON THE FIELD COULD HURT THE REST OF THIER SEASON. THEY WOULD DO BETTER TO PLAY THE COLTS LATER IN THE YEAR AFTER THEY GET SOME MORE WINS. THE TEXANS ARE MAKING A TURN AROUND FOR THE GOOD BUT HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO AND SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN LIGHTLY BUT NEED TO UNDERSTAND THEY ARE NOT THE TEAM THE COLTS SPENT YEARS TO BUILD.

There is a lot of pent up frustration from the Texans fans in a "football is king" state. Having said that home field advantage will have an impact. Not sure how much. I can just guarantee you it will be an experience the Colts have never witnessed in Houston before. Go Texans!

COMMENTS FOR DAVE:

Did you see last season when the Texans beat the Colts.....so I don't know where you get this 21-0 lead at half time. It is going to be a good game either way. I just love seeing ESPN eat their words....all they could do is bash the Texans before the season (predicted them to win 6 games or less.)

GO TEXANS!!!!!

If our team had your attitude we would get beaten by the Raiders lol! You can never take a team riding high on success and playing at home lightly no matter how poor their record! I fully expect the Colts to win Sunday not for your reasons but because they respect the Texans and will be prepared for their best effort!

Hey Colts, we all know you're the team to beat and you have that fat target on your back.... Out Texans have are hitting bulleyes right now and don't plan on missing anytime soon! Last year was a nice win but with the Texans new players this year it's going to be an even better game! We've been waiting for a long time for this here in TX and you of all Football fans know how it feels to go thru hard times with your team... These Texans remind me of your Colts a few years back when you were on your rise... you may not be falling anytime soon but our Texans are coming full speed ahead and looking to take anyone out in their way!!
Good Luck and let's hope for a good game!!
Nice win over the Titans last week...

Last time I checked The TEXANS were the last team to beat the Colts, and since then we've only gotten better. Payton can get up there and call all the fake titty-baby audibles and whine to the refs all he wants. He just better be ready to pick himself off the field all day long, because that's where he's going to be spending most of his time, watching the game from his back after Mario rolls his ass.

Hold on Hold on. Lets not start mentioning these Texans as "like the Colts team a few years ago" You may very well end up a viable team eventually. The Texans have a long way to go before the comparisions of the Colts of 99-2001 seasons. The talent level isn't near the same. Shaub could end a good one, but he has been a backup and Green is old in runnning back terms and there is little depth. I am sure we will get a good on sunday but lets not get crazy here. 2-0 is not yet on the rise.

We will be here, will you? This may be the most cocky fans of a 2-0 team in history. Another thing, do you really care what a media talking head says about your team? Queers at ESPN, thats pretty classy.
