Thump
Here comes the Vikings Hammer
Next Victim: MOTOR City mice

Adrian makes everyone better, Favre does the same thing. The way they carry themselves, their enthusiasm for the game, all the things that can make a good team great. We will still experience some growing pains, but by midseason, we shall know if the prize is attainable.

2 fire-breathing winners, one early in his career, the other late. How great it is to have 2 super-motivated winners on this team - a team known for complacency, laziness, underutilization and failure. Seems strange, actually. And no, we won't lose to the Lions as the Packer fan (from Menomonie, WI) in disguise above suggests. With Jokeson at QB we would, though. Thankfully we have a quarterback with a functional brain, now - even at 40, he makes Jokeson look like the garbage he is.

There is a huge amount of hype about AP right now but lets keep things in perspective.

3 TD's: Yes, 2 of them were nothing more than a one foot run behind one of the toughest and biggest offensive line in the game. Any of the backs could have done that. Heck, any grammar school 3rd grade Running Back could have done that.

64 yard TD run with the defender getting tossed aside like sack of potatoes: This is a great play with a great 2nd effort from AP. But the Cleveland Defense pulled up on him once the bag of russets had wrapped him up thinking that the play was over. AP capitalized and took it the distance. Hard to get back up to speed in that short amount of field.

DO NOT FORGET all the hype we placed upon Hershal Walker. He came here with the hughest expectation on his shoulders and litterally only gave us one game (His first game) of 199 yards. After that he was non-existant on the Yardage and the Scoreboard.

Lets keep the eye on the prize here people and not focus on the individual.

Favre + AP + Hutch + Taylor + Harvin + Berrian(Man I hope Berrian can stay healthy for a season)+ Shiancoe = At the very least make up a 3 dimensional Offense which will equal points every game. I'm hoping this Lewis guy can even contribute to this as well.

Also:
Williams + Williams + Edwards + EJ + Greenway + Allen + Leber + Griffin = A very solid run/short yardage defense that is going to get turn-overs and/or hopefully points every game as well.

Only weakness as of right now: The Deep threat. Abdullah + Johnson + Sanford = a whopping 4 years total in the league. Williams is the only vet with 6 years. Very schetchy in the Secondary.

My wife did point out that if Favre gets his Ring this year, he'll retire for the final time I'm sure of that. But the best kicker of it all is that he'll retire *AND* make the Hall of Fame AS A VIKING, not as a Packer. I think WI will just brick up the borders, blow the bridges, secede from the Union and become their own nation of disgruntled Favre-Haters flying the banner of of a torn Green and Yellow #4 Jersey with a broken Heart on the opposite side. I shall enjoy that day should it arrive, I'll bring the snacks.

Um, you do realize that this wasn't AP's first game as a Viking, don't you? He's got a career rushing average of 5.2 yards per carry and already holds the NFL single-game rushing record. I don't think it's too early to be excited about him this year.

I am having nightmares about the lions I think we can lose this game, last year my new team just squeaked by this team by a couple of points. Otherwise they would have been 8 and 8 and not looked at as a possible playoff team...

A. AP is a god. You're a naysaying bum on a couch watching football with your wife...(???)

B. Not only are you watching football with your wife, but you're in active football discussions with her. This is why you don't watch football with your wife or other women. They don't know the game.

FAVRE MAY RETIRE AS A VIKING, BUT HE WILL GO INTO THE HALL OF FAME AS A PACKER. HIS CHOICE.

Which is fine with me because it still gives me a lifetime or material to rip on the Packer fans.

CHECK WITH YOUR WIFE TO VERIFY.

Ha ha ha!! WHEEEEEEEEEW!

I completely agree with you, he's a dynamic player who loves the game and that is rare. Just don't want to give him that ESPN/SI curse and hype him so much he starts believing it.(Steve Walsh Syndrome) If I was in the locker room I'd ask him why it took until the 4th quarter to break one of.(With a slight smile on my face of course, but you get the idea.)

Karl, seriously, relax. I'm sorry you don't have someone to share things with in your life. I do detect hints of jealousy in your post here is why I say this. To tell the truth I also detect hints of some closet Packer Fandom in your post as well. I'm not so sure that the Packers would bring Favre back for the 1 day contract so he can retire as a Packer. He left there on "Not so Decent" of terms now didn't he? I'm sure there is still a lot of bitterness there. Just re-read your post if you don't believe me.(...Packer Fan...)

Calling AP a god... Take a deep breath there Karl, your religious affiliations seem to be spilling into other areas of your life. Starting a pantheon (It's a term used in defining a sect of gods in a given religion, go to Google and type in "define: Pantheon") of NFL players is exactly the hype that can destroy any team. Please refrain if you can. Oh, and by the way you can exhale now if you want, not sure I needed to tell you that or not but, one can only go on what he reads here in the posts.

Again you are an friggin idiot. The Packers do NOT need to resign Favre in order for him to go into the HoF as a Packer, which you would know if you talked football with someone other than your fat wife. Players don't have to declare a team to enter the Hall fo Fame, but most do and they can declare ANY team they played for. Hence, Favre will enter as a Packer. I wish he wouldn't, but reality says he will.

Reality says that you most likely have no friends, as no one can stand people like you, and behind your back I'm sure you are despised. Also, your wife knows jack shyt about football.

I said AP was a god, and I meant it - in terms of football. Only a complete freaking nosepicker like yourself would take that literally.

Are you one of these people who spends all day online and gets your kicks off of trying to sound intelligent? Maybe you should have found a prettier wife and you'd have something else to do...

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Leo

If you look closely, you'll see a black cloud hovering over a loved one's head. They'll find the smallest excuse for losing their temper or throwing a tantrum, so tiptoe around them or try to jolly them out of their filthy mood. If the situation continues you may decide that it would be better to get the inevitable argument out of the way than to pussyfoot around them any longer.
