Shooter Now: Would Vikings fire Leslie Frazier and eat another contract?

There are 17 comments on the Nov 28, 2011, TwinCities story titled Shooter Now: Would Vikings fire Leslie Frazier and eat another contract?. In it, TwinCities reports that:

If Minnesota Vikings owner Zygi Wilf feels he has a legitimate chance to get public approval for a new stadium, he can't be expected to maintain the status quo with his team, now 2-9. That could mean replacing coach Leslie Frazier after just one full season.

I know some thinks it isnt the answer to fire Feazier I look at it like this Win lost reacord This offensive plan stinks & Frazier never did anything to help the offensive line this year Now the Vikes got to try & find someone in the draft when theres other needs the Vikes have like WR, CB, LB, S . Now they have to waste there frist or second round pick on a OL all this Not to mention He didnt have His team ready to play for 60 minutes in More then one game this year.,. Also for being a defensive coordinator This secondary stinks & the thing is Not only this year but every year Frazier has been a coach.. Here is something I pulled I thought was funny>If Wilf were to remove Frazier, one guess is that his successor would have a strong defensive background, same as Frazier. That's because the Vikings wouldn't want to disrupt the continuity with rookie quarterback Christian Ponder under offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave. lol What continuity with Musgrave I havnt seen ONE 300 yard game yet has any of you ? GO Vikings

watch the 73' season documentary. Vikes allowed one touchdown per game. Our secondary now couldn't cover my eighty two year old mother.

You need cap space to make FA aquisitions, we had none.

Greenway..... no pro bowls, adios.

AP........love the guy, but for that money he needs to pick up blitzes and catch passes. Injured, he's a ton of money and no backups!

KFAN today: Rosen and common are on the right track, we need a big shot GM now!

Very sloppy decisions being made by committee.

Jeff Fisher could be GM.

Rosen and common are regurgitating what I've been saying for more than a year. Priority #1, replace Mark Wilf or whoever is making these decisions with a good GM.

The upper management is to blame for this mess. The best thing for the fans would be for the Wilfs to sell the franchise and go back to New Jersey. Absent a miracle we will be the "new Lions" of the division...perennial bottom dwellers.

Fisher would be a better coach than Frazier and I would hire him in an instant but we would still need a massive overhaul of the team to become competitive. However the Wilfs will give low key Leslie one more year on the understanding he will be on a short leash. Ditto for Speilman.

Giving Frasier another year would be very bad. The man is not a leader, he's a spectator, watching the game. Eat another contract? Hell NO. Demote him, back to defensive line coach or water-boy. Make him come to work every day. I fear you are right however.

If the team moves to LA does all this really matter?

After this season, there will be no need to sneak out of town...
