Ohio.com - Browns defense pulls it together

BEREA: Coach Romeo Crennel probably wouldn't call it a meaningless number. After spending most of his 37 years in coaching working with defense, he probably finds the Browns' ranking of 32nd in the league ... Full Story

One game giving up 17 points doesn't make a defense. The Browns are still last in the NFL in defense. Too bad, so sad. bring out your crying towels Browns fans.

Meanwhile, the STEELERS defense scored a shutout last night. Way to go STEELERS. 8-3 and leading the division with the tie breaker.

GO STEELERS - on to the Super Bowl !!!

Hahahaha... You are cheering about that game? Your stadium is as useless as your team.

You scored, because the ref's missed the calls that stopped the movement. As was evident every time you actually did move the ball at the start of the game. A little "holding" to stop the defense from getting to your worthless quarterback is all it takes for the Steelers to win.

The worst team in the NFL, and you guys scored a huge 3 points. WTG Pittsburgh Rustbuckets!!! Get a decent turf on your field, and good lord, supply your schools with a seperate place to play their games.

It was a hard fought game, but the Steelers didn't "walk away with a victory". You were in Miami territory all night long and couldn't finish the transaction. The only thing that sucked more then the Steelers plays were the 3" of crap they were standing in.

How many records did you break last night for sucking? I think they had to go all the way back to the 1943 to find a game as bad as that one.

Wow, what a game Grump. 3-0. The local high school team scores more than that. Great foresight by the ground crew to install the new turf earlier this week.Poor excuse in playing so awful against the woeful Dolphins. You certainly must be proud this morning. Then again, you must be proud of the fact that you can find your way to the bathroom in the morning let alone to your keyboard. The browns continue to improve and your toilet bowl bound Pittspuke team looks worse with each passing game. Browns defense gets better, the offense gets better, the Browns win the South.

GOOD WIN FOR THE STEELERS. THEY WERE ABLE TO SCORE 3 POINTS ON THE DOLPHINS. WHY DOES IT ALWAYS RAIN IN PITTSBURGH. I THINK MOTHER NATURE IS TRYING TO TELL STEELERS FANS TO SHOWER MORE OFTEN.

IT DOESNT MATTER HOW OUR DEFENSE HAS PLAYED SO FAR. ALL THAT MATTERS IS THEY KEEP GETTING BETTER WEEK TO WEEK. THROW THE NUMBERS OUT. THE LAST TWO WEEKS THEY HAVE DONE REAL GOOD AT STOPING THE RUN. THEY ARE 7-4 WITH THE WORST DEFENSE. IF THEY KEEP IMPROVING EVERYBODY IS IN TROUBLE.

Keep (wet) dreaming. Your team SUCKS!! They way they've played in the last 3 weeks is pathetic. They've BARELY won 2 of the last 3 games (they lost one of them)-- and them BARELY winning against the Dolphins hurts them tremendously.

But you're too f--king stupid to know this.

The only Bowl The Squeelers will see this year is the toilet bowl cause of the CheapA$$ Rooneys!! HA HA HA!

A shutout???? You gotta be kidding me. And why dont' the announcers call out the stealers when they deliberately step on somebodies back?? I don't care if it is Ricky Williams the stealers cheat. Plain and simple.

Proof that this guy doesn't read the articles. It is full of stats on the sacks, turnovers, 3rd down defense, etc. and he comes in and quotes the 17 points given up. He didn't even read it. Quit letting him rile you up. He's a Steelers fan living in Akron...that says a lot.

Oh but when we won over the Dolphins and Rams, those were wins over crappy teams. That field was just a flat our representation of that shit hole city over there. What a joke that was last night. Let's replace ALL the turf within 48 hours of a professional game AFTER you play 5 games on it in 2 days. Real smart, but then again it is Pittsburgh!!

So you are proud of your team that's in a neck and neck race with the team that has the last place defense? What does that say about the Stealers???

Hey dufus, you bragging about shutting out the Dolphins? On that terrible field. And what kind of retarded grounds crew puts down new sod, on top of the existing grass, in late November, with 2 days of rain coming? Before a big game on national TV.

You still think that overated team is going to the Super Bowl? Boy, you are dummer than we all thought.

Why don't you ask your friends at the NFL? I'm not a mind reader. They approved it.

Cheap A$$ Rooney is the embarrassment of the league! If the NFL players union had any balls they would sue him for having pro athletes risk injury last night on that poor excuse of a field. The Cheap A$$ Rooney probably syphoned off the water so his players could drink it in the locker room.

The NFL approved what? The Owner of the Stadium controls who plays there and what happens with the field. You think the owner of a stadium is going to take commands from the NFL when they replace their turf and when they water the grass? Get real you knucklehead!

They have a contract with the U of Pitt on them playing their games there. Just plain stupid to have high school games on that field this time of year. That city and state is just retarded. You do not see the Browns letting high schools play there. Oh no wait, I am sorry, they do let high schools play there. IN SEPTEMBER, when the weather is a lot better!

Another reason the Steelers suck. They can't even have a nice field to play on.

BEFORE YOU GO TALKING TRASH ABOUT THE ROONEY FAMILY WHO TOOK THE CLOWNS TO BALTIMORE AND WON A SUPER BOWL LEAVING CLEVELAND WITHOUT A TEAM FOR FIVE YEARS? ART MODELL. WHAT A GREAT OWNER HE WAS. AND LERNER WOULD DO THE SAME IF OFFERED THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF MONEY. CLEVELAND IS NOTHING MORE THAN AN EXPANSION TEAM, GET A LIFE.
