I don't understand why Maryland plays to the level of its competition. Against ranked teams, we look great. But against teams that we should beat easily, we struggle. But this is good win though. I can't wait until the game against V Tech. Go Terps!!!

Clemson, Wake and Cal were all overrated especially Wake and Clemson and the real test of Maryland's team is yet to come. Let's see how they measure up against Virginia Tech next week and then UNC, FSU and BC. Those have always been the four toughest games. I'm optimistically hoping for 2-2 down the stretch. Anything more would be remarkable. I can't help but think Tech is the toughest game for them (away in Blacksburg where the Terps have always struggled)

NC State has played everyone tough this year. With the conditions as they were; the Terps should be (and are) thrilled with the win.

Va Tech is having a rough year. Maryland can win down there. If they do, this could wind up being a special season.

Top 25, baby. Here's the rundown: we needed to jump seven teams in the AP Top 25 to make it to #25.

Kentucky: crushed by UF, 63-5.
Vanderbilt: dropped by Duke at home, 10-7.
VT: lost at FSU, 20-10. Tough break, big fellas!
Northwestern: pooped the bed at Indiana, 21-19.
BC: smoked at UNC, 45-24.
GT: lost at home to UVA, 24-17.
Kansas: pounded at home by Texas Tech, 63-21.
Pitt: wasted by a bad Rutgers team at home, 54-34.

It might be a stretch for KU and Pitt to drop that far, but bad losses at home can do that to you. Kansas might get a pass, but Pitt definitely won't, since Rutgers sucks.(I went to the Navy game and saw it firsthand.)

GO TERPS!

I would like to add Virginia won again today. Our loss is to them is not looking nearly as bad, as Virginia is on a winning streak.

TerpZone: Maybe the bad teams play up to our level! Ever think of that?

If you look at NC States losses several of them were exactly like this where they were tied or had 4th period leads and lost at the end. They are a very tough team, and I'm sure the Terps will take this win anyway they can get it.From what I heard from a couple people at the game,we didn't get hardly any calls for us,and quite a few against us,so to win this one is just as good as winning by 20.A win is a win is a win.Especially in that weather.

What I'm having a real hard time believing is that the game wasn't even televised in this area. What's up with THAT? Dartmouth playing Snot State gets air time, but the Terps are a no-show for any local fan to watch. Horse manure..........

I was there today. This was a fun game to watch live. They could have given up, but didn't. Watch the replay if you can. Several calls seemed shady in the 4th, not in our favor. Again, the Terps dug deep. We got a win and should be happy. Agree with the earlier comment on the UVA win. I have been watching them this season as well and don't think they are as bad as we all initially thought. After all, check theacc.com , they are now on par with us and leading their division in The ACC. Oh, and we are tied with FSU. Something to be proud of at this point. Let's stay positive Terrapin Nation.

Huge Win!!!!!!!! this was a must win given our tough schedule coming up, which we could either win every game or lose every game (I really doubt we'll lose all but hopefully even w/ 1 more win at the worst we should get a decent bowl. Please someone tell Chris Cosh to &^%%$$#### Blitz!!!!!!! & stop just sitting back on Defense!! If you give any Division 1 QB that much time to sit in the pocket they will find someone open. Its riduculous!! Go Terps!!!

Chris, couldn't agree with you more,it would have been a good game to watch, but not here unless you have ESPN 360,which Comcast refuses to carry.

Alrighty then! I thought that this would be a tough conference game--and it was. NC State is just a few scores from having a solid record.
We overcame a desperate team and numerous questionable (at best) calls to get this win.
Let's go bowling! I'll fly from Denver to any ol' bowl game we make it to!(including beautiful Miami for the Orange!) Go Terps Go!
