I had great respect for Bo and Lloyd and the program they ran. Rich Rod doesn't have the history to be a Michigan Man and run that once proud program. Similar to Cooper at OSU except that Coach Cooper has a lot more class and integrity. Wow. I lived in Ann Arbor back in the days of Woody and Bo....'68 to 81. Moved back to Ohio then. Was a Mich fan. Then in 2000 our oldest daughter went to OSU. Went to a game in 2001 and like they say the rest is history. It was such an amazing experience. I am such a Buckeye fanatic. Since 2001 I have driven to C-Bus every game day Sat. Didn't always have a ticket but went to the skull sessions and stuck around and watched the game on campus. This will be my 4th season ushering. I love it. Are you part of the alumni band? Love opening game and the 4 script Ohios. It is awesome. Have a great day. Go Bucks!!!!

It sure is amazing walking into the shoe on gameday. Heck, it is amazing watching the shoe on TV on gameday. It's like when you are a kid and you are playing in a championship game, you get that excitement and energy running through your blood.

OSUMom, I do play with the Alumni Band and usually am grumbling at 6 AM when I take my seat in St. John to begin practicing for pregame and half time. Those negative feelings start dissapating when the Skull Session begins and they are completely gone by the time we do the ramp entrance. There is no greater feeling than marching into Ohio Stadium to the beat of the percussion and the screams of 110,000 rabid fans. I'm glad you came over from the dark side. Go Bucks!

I must admit though at orientation weekend with our daughter they had a band cd playing everywhere we went and I bought my 1st of 8 OSU band cd's. Yes indeed....it is great to be a buckeye!!!

I stumbled on the band practicing in 01 the night before my first game. I loved watching them. I was glad I stayed around after or I would never have know about the skull sessions. I was amazed that the alumni band was also there. It was breathtaking to me. What's funny is I sat in 4B that very first game, and now that is where I usher. Small world!! it will be strange that the opening game this year is on a Thursday. Don't care, wouldn't miss it for the world. Go Bucks!!!!

I was puzzled by the tone of your comment until I turned around and re-read mine - please know I was not trying to infer that you were a "troll" are anything negative about your earlier remarks, but was shaking my head at some of the others who show up here from time to time. My sincere apologies to you for not being clear.

Here in S.FL, SOOOO GLAD to often hear & read how the Buckeyes "stole" or the Refs "gave: the 2002 Championship away from UMiami....Bodes well for this fall's visit to the Shoe, with the Canes STILL looking in the rearview mirror. Even though The 'U' is very atletic & very fast, the Buck's will simply play Tressel-Ball and take care of business--just anther day at the office against a vegful-minded opponent.

Ohio State I am sure is just as fast with bigger guys. Our 220 pound running back ran a 10.27 100m in high school. Pryor is clock electronically at a 4.32. Diffrence between OSU and UM is OSU is allot bigger and stronger. They had a freshman defensive line man last year who reped 225 48 times before he came to Ohio State. He also in this years spring practice ran a 4.85 40. That is moving for 6'3" 290 pound dl Johnny Simon. Look for #54. He is a beasts and was a key contributor to Ohio Steel Curtain Defense last year. If he has is dads genetics than god knows how strong he can get . 18 and benching 500 pounds is scary enough. http://www.ourhonordefend.com/wp-content/uplo... http://www.ourhonordefend.com/2009/03/better-...
