Spitler had better hope that the replay of him getting run over by a 5' 10", 180 lb quarterback for a touchdown in the Rose Bowl, somehow gets lost!

Great luck to all the Buckeyes that fulfilled their desire to be part of the Team and hopefully complete their education! I hope they will make their families and fans prowd in whatever they do in life.
As far as Henderson, we have seen 6'8" 300+ lbs. linemen that have turned into busts. The Buckeyes will live without him and we only want Buckeyes that really want to be a Buckeye. Maybe he just has a questional role model that seems to have himself, rather than his son's best interest at heart but lets focus on the next class of linemen who will take over for the current Buckeye linemen in two years. No incoming freshman is going to step in and be a starter on this team. Go Bucks!

The Ohio State Football thing is really getting worn out, maybe you should broaden your horizons maybe??? There are other "Pro" teams in this state. OSU football stories day after day gets really old! Tomorrow's story will let us know what Tressel had for dinner.

Who is the "you" in your somewhat redundant "...maybe you should broaden your horizons maybe???" If it's the staff at the Dispatch, they are aware of which side their bread is buttered: like it or not, a sizeable portion of this paper's readership roots for or has an active interest in the Buckeyes. It only makes sense to cater to those readers, though apparently you do not fall into that category.

Fair enough, though I would point out that you: saw the headline, clicked on the story, read it, and then accessed the comment board to type your views - all by your own choice.

Well Cultureless, if you are not satisfied or otherwise turned off by what others who live here care to read about, you could always read online material from where you come from. Maybe "Aternative San Fransisco lifestyle .com".... Or how about the "I'm from Boston and therefore better than you" weekly... Then there is "If you don't live in Grenwich Village, you are an illiterate cave man! Musings from a self absorbed, arogant fool!"
Then you wouldn't have to be troubled by the down to earth bumpkins here in Columbus that like to hear about our team.

Well, I see THIS Poster comes from the Queen City.....not exactly a bastion of Buckeyefandom. They would rather waste their time and energy (and boy is IT an effort) concerning themselves about the Bearcats <lol> or Bungals <choke, croak, joke>.

Amen OSUMOM. I live in Greater Cincinnati and don't spend much time reading the Enquirer because who wants to read about the Bearcats and their losing basketball team or their losing their football coach because they are small time.

It's much more fun to follow a winning program with a great tradition like the Buckeyes...of course, being an alum adds to the interest. Gee, I do wonder what Coach Tressel is having for dinner.

I do often broaden my horizons by going to the Detroit Free Press and reading the fine whines from those sad Michigan fans. Go Bucks.

I suspect I know you, TBDBITL Buck. I am constantly amazed at the trolls with no local ties whatsoever who pop up on these comment boards (probably based on some some search program that goes off when someone else has the temerity to mention their favorite team) just to spout off about how bad OSU is or drop some stupid comment saying they don't care. Am I that out of touch that I have *absolutely no desire* to go to another Web site and talk trash about that school's athletic program?

Say what you want about Michigan (really - I don't mind) but at least not many their fans are yammering away on here like the UC, Oregon and other dolts who pop up every now and then. Maybe that will change when they (UM) start winning again...*if* they start winning again...but in the meantime, if you're not an OSU fan and you're just here to talk smack: look in the mirror and get a life.

I think that a lot of people are jealous of the rich tradition that is such a part of OSU. I love being in the "shoe" on game day. Nothing like it. I only became a fan in 2001 when our oldest was a soph. Got hooked after one game. After 5 yrs on a waiting list I now usher.....will start my 4th season in sept. This all coming from a woman who lived in 'that city up North" for 13 yrs, married a Mich man (alomost 29 yrs now). I saw the light LOL. Have a great evening. Go Bucks!!!!

I feel bad for Mich really. Ricky Rod has torn apart a once great program. Shame on him and shame on Mich for allowing that to happen. But I love the fact that we own them!!! Who knows for how much longer but...."We don't give a damn for teh whole state of Mich" lol it's great to be a buckeye!!!

You know.....He will remember that play for a very long time...lol

But, I think he has what it takes to make it in the Pros. Will he be a star? Probably not.

But he would have a good career

What are you talking about?? That was Brian Rolle getting bowled over by Masoli. You can't tell Rolle from Spitler on the playing field. One guy's black, the other's white. Ha-ha-ha.

I dont really think Spitler is going to get drafted. He can sell insurance with Jim Cordle though, and that will be a pretty good life.

Guess again Speculative. I grew up in Columbus, my father worked as a janitor at OSU and would take me there on Saturdays to help in. It was a rgeat expereince. I attended Ohio State and played in the band back in the days of Woody and Bo. Hey, I have more playing time in Ohio Stadium than Archie! I had great respect for Bo and Lloyd and the program they ran. Rich Rod doesn't have the history to be a Michigan Man and run that once proud program. Similar to Cooper at OSU except that Coach Cooper has a lot more class and integrity.
