Keeping Manning upright

Full story: The Indianapolis Star

If you're looking for the heart of the Houston defense, look up front. That's where the Texans' last three first-round draft choices play and it's an area on which the Indianapolis Colts are focused going into ...

Its starts up front huh? Thanks for the info geniuses.

The Colts line will be fine. We are starting a rookie left tackle. He made need some help here and there, but thats no different than every other team in the NFL when they go up against great DEs. Its not a coincidence that every other team in the AFC South has great D linemen and D ends. They know who the team to beat is. They have centered their drafting strategies nearly solely around being able to contain the Colts pass offense over the last few years. We just need to do what we do and we should come out victorious.

You know you have a good squad that strikes fear into teams when they openly admit that their draft strategy, and therefor the future course of their organization, hinges on getting players that can disrupt the Colts offense.

Go Colts!!

We have been very fortunate that, in the 8-9 years Peyton has been quarterbacking the Colts, he hasn't been seriously injured. That speaks well for our "O" line. Hopefully, that will continue Sunday. I hate to think where we would be if Peyton got injured badly. Can you say, "Out of the playoffs"?

ITS NICE TO SEE THE COLTS ARE RESPECTING THE TEXANS ABILITY BECAUSE A SUPERIOR TEAM CAN TAKE A MUCH INFERIOR TEAM FOR GRANTED AND THATS WHERE THE UPSETS COME INTO PLAY. THATS OBVIOUSLY WHAT HAPPENED LAST TIME.BY THE WAY, PEYTON IS THE BEST AT BURNING DEFENSES THAT WANNA BLITZ HIM....GO AHEAD AND LEAVE 87 AND 88 IN MAN COVERAGE AND WHAT A DAY IT WILL BE AND DONT FORGET GONZALES AND CLARK OVER THE MIDDLE....YEEE HAWWWW!!!!!!!!!!

I have often wondered why the Colts haven't put Sorgi in when it was certain that they had won the game. Like against New Orleans.
It would give him some badly needed play time. And would lessen the chances of Manning getting hurt when he doesn't need to be out on the field.
And Keith needs to be played more to keep the two back system going.

Do you think you know what your talking about. The Texans are very good this year and not a much inferior team. We will win the wild card this year and the division the next. You obviously do not know about my Texans because we dont blitz. The point of our defense is to have a dominate d-line so we can drop 7 into coverage, that is what we do. Gonzales and Clark will get killed by Demeco ryans over the middle. You are going to seem like an idiot after tomorrow.
hahahahahaha........its amazing a team beats 2 weak teams and all of a sudden they compare to the best QB to ever play the game...pro bowl offensive line with 2 pro bowl/hall of fame recievers...pro bowl/hall of fame ends like freeney and mathis and dont forget the small pack of dynamite that could drop the sears tower in Bob sanders. can you say REALITY check?

How can you call the Carolina Panthers a "weak team"? Certainly the Chiefs have seen better days but c'mon...the Panthers?? In the pre-season everybody wrote the Texans off as being the worst team in the NFL (at least down at the bottom with Oakland) and very few predicted we would have even stood a chance to beat Kansas City and Carolina much less actually win!
Y'all have a good team and will likely win the division but you gotta give the Texans some respect lest there is a repeat of last December.
Maybe Christmas will come early this year...see you in Houston wiseass.

This is gonna be a huge game for the texans this sunday! I believe as long as we can keep an effective ground game going that we will have a shot to win the game. It's too bad that " Dre" (Andre johnson) will miss the game but i firmly believe that jacoby jones will step up and make some great plays. The colts don't have a great run defense so i am banking on the texans rushing for 150 plus yards to control the game clock and keep peyton off the field.

Prediction..

Believe me the Colts and the fans do respect the Texans. Some of the ugly blogs are coming from people outside Indiana. Like the guy from Texas said earlier, it has been a long time coming for the team and fans in Indy. A lot of us have hung in there and supported the Colts through all the losing seasons where nobody gave us any respect. It is just fun now to be winning and it would be nice if other fans(not Texas) could let us enjoy the moment. I hope you are feeling a re-building in Texas. It is a great feeling and one everyone deserves to feel. Good Luck Sunday, but I of course will be rooting for the Colts!!!

Pretty cocky for a fan from a team who has never won more than 5 games and are just 2-0.
By the way dropping 7 in pass cover isn't the way you beat the Colts its been tried many times. I would love to get Ryans away form the line of scrimmage, if that happens you are in major trouble. Ryans has no hope of covering Clark or Gonzales.

Here is the thing you have to score points. The Bears thought they could just out physical the Colts, didn't happen and it hasn't happened in a long time.

Houston will win more games this year but just aren't deep enough yet to compete for the playoffs. Your secondary is really iffy and you still have a offensive line that has only shown up for two games. If you get to 5 and 3 or 7 and 5 then come back and talk otherwise don't come to a Colts Blog call us dumb and then put together string of context where one thought doesn't lead to another.

Amazing, the Texans win one game out of ten against the Colts, and if you look at their fans post, you'd think they won the Super Bowl. While we hung a championship banner week #1, maybe the Texans plan on hanging a banner Sunday for beating the Colts in a regular season game. When the Texans challenge for at least a DIVISION title, say week 12 or 13 in a season, feel free to talk smack on Indy's posts or forums, but until then, get used to the fact the Colts will get back to the form that has won them nine out of ten in the series! GO COLTS!
