Yes, regardless of what one thinks of Leftwich, I don't think he was treated very fairly. Shoulda told the dude this months ago to give him time to find a new team or whatever. Poor class display. I wouldn't want to play for these morons, were I a football player.

The wicked wich is dead ol' dead...
The wicked LEFTWICH is dead!! Click your heels 3 times Jack we won't be in last place anymore!! At least he didn't didn't have any dog kennels at his house |

Leftwich will probably get another job pretty soon. There are several teams out there with such garbage at QB that Leftwich might not look too bad to them.
|

must have been some other issues, he could have been kept for a backup.

Perhaps jag fans will come out to the games to see something different. And as far as some of the players being shocked about leftwich getting canned, if they want job security then prove your worth the money.

How about DD being release from the Raiders?? Maybe he can come back..

I suppose Jack and Harris did what they had to do keep thier jobs. However, they should start packing thier bags b/c they are next, and you Anti-Leftwich fans will be talking about them as well.
Fan support will decline until Quinn Gray takes the wheel. Even Del Rio implied that it wasn't certain that Garrard would last the entire season. The handwriting is on the wall people. The Jaguars administration has been known to make the most thoughtless decisions ever. They'll get it togther one day, when they find themselves moving the team to another city. GO DALLAS!!! |

Note to Byron: Next time around (if there is one), don't bite the hand that feeds you...

Yeash, Jacksonville will probably go to the Super Bowl, when they get a REAL coach! Del Rio MAY learn at some point, that just playing games with people the way he has with many players ever since coming to Jacksonville, isn't going to make them play any better or harder. It takes a special person to get the best out of a player, & Del Rio is NOT that person! You have to be a friend when necessary, & a coach other times, & have the ability to tell the difference. Del Rio doesn't qualify & never has. |

Del Rio and his coaching staff was rumored to have threatened release to Leftwich after his reported lying to the team about his health and lack of enthusiasm and production on and off the field. Things did not change. Leftwich continued to take his roster spot for granted and did not perform to his potential in preseason or training camp. This also set an example to the team that every play should player like his job is on the line. I like the move. |
