Good news for Jacksonville. Now we should see the black outs lifted as more fans will support the team.
Lets bring home Mark and let Him retire as a Jaguar.

It's about time we finally got rid of Gary Coleman on steroids! I am 100% sure that the Jags will start selling more tickets and will not have any more blackouts.

I think it's about time Leftwich is finally cut from the team & feel it should have happened a long time ago. Leftwich as far as i'm concerned, never has had what it takes to be a top NFL Quarterback. If you really think about it, he's really not any better now then he was 2 years ago. He's alway's been hit and miss and probably always will be.
My Congradulations,to Del Rio!,
For finally waking up & seeing Leftwich for what he really is!!!!!

na,na,na na na na, hey, hey, hey, goodbye. Gerrard plays with heart and a good attitude. Now to get rid of the real problem V.P. James Harris The first NFL black quarterback who is more concerned that the jags have a black quarterback than a good quarterback. This is why we didn't draft Brady Quinn.

We all know the old saying "Be Careful for what you ask for..because you just might get it". Don't be surprise that Byron just may have the last laugh. However being the class guy that he is (never said anything bad about his Teammates, Fans or the city of Jacksonville)he won't. From a season ticket holder from season one, I wish him all the best.

I've long felt that the only reason Byron Leftwich was kept as long and given as many chances as we was originated with a desire to do some social engineering by "Shack" Harris. I wonder how many times while listening to justified criticism about his selections he thought to himself "Yeah, but the Jaguars have 3 black quarterbacks." Steve Young said it best last year in a pre-game show "A NFL quarterback has to be able to make the first guy through miss and Leftwich can't." My explanation is simpler... "He can't get out of his own way." He might have a great skill set but just isn't fast enough for the NFL game.

I can understand the ECU Alum's post... afterall, It was Byron Leftwich who engineered a a comeback in the Marshall vs. ECU bowl game when Marshall was down by 35 points at half-time. Too bitter a loss for ECU faithful! I'll never forget the Akron game when returning from the hospital with a broken ankle, he was carried by linemen downfield trying to bring Marshall back (he almost did it). Leftwich is a LEADER! His character as man is unquestionable. You believe that an organization the size of Jacksonville doesn't have their OWN staff of doctors evaluating Leftwich? Talk about lying... wasn't it DelRio ardently telling everyone that Leftwich was his starting quarterback up and until Leftwich's being fired? Keep drinking the purple koolaid. This was a classless act by a clueless coach. Garrard is more mobile than Leftwich, but his decision making is far from the caliber of Byron's. Look at their records! Leftwich will be a good starting quarterback in the NFL if the good Lord helps him remain healthy and a team wants a young man whose character and passing abilities are BOTH exceptional.

It would be nice if Leftwich could have passed the ball to the right person once in awhile though.
