The 49'ers failed Alex Smith, just like the Cleveland Browns failed Tim Couch, the Ravens have failed Kyle Boller, and the Giant's ALMOST failed Eli Manning. QB's need a good coach and that would be Jeff Fisher, a guy who knows how to handle young QB's. He took a very mediocre, but athletic Steve McNair and put him in the Pro Bowl and now he has a vastly over-rated, intelligence-challenged Vince Young and will make something out of him, too. Too bad he never has a real good one to work with.
