Okay the more I think about this....If Carlos Rogers were thrown into the mix I'd take this trade because Rogers and Johnson will give us a better balance at the corner position plus we get a solid force at DT and another QB with a chance to make us better. Swapping first round picks in addition to 3 players for Aso is asking a little too much. I say Rogers-Johnson is a better balance because teams will throw equally at each rather than attack one more than the other. Aso is by far the best CB in the NFL and you'd have to have one of equal playing ability playing opposite of him to gain the balance so that one is not attacked more than the other.

You are right. And I believe that Redskins have a similar potential CB in form of DeAngelo Hall. I know that Hall is not at all as good as Aso, but he is also a play maker and the QBs have to think before throwing it towards him. Johnson is also a good CB, but he is nowhere close to be one of the best, which is the reason everyone throws towards him.
And about the trade, I heard that Raiders are also throwing a 3rd round pick this year and next year. So if this is the case, I am ready to swap my 1st pick. Redskins have only 5 picks in the draft and they need more. They can still get an excellent OT at the 8th overall, and they can get a G or NT in the 3rd round. So I would accept the trade if Redskins have to give Haynesworth, Rogers, Campbell, and 1st round swap if Raiders give Aso, 3rd round pick in '10, and 3rd pick in '11.

Thing is the Raiders truley don't want to give up Asomugha but they will consider any trade that appeals to them in anyway. They know that Nnamdi Asomugha is in high value especially because it's hard to find a great conerback that can be as consistent as he as been through out his carrer. Also this league is a passing league. With guys like the Mannings, Brees, Brady, Farve (if returns), McNabb, Rivers, few other QBs that aren't as good as these guys but could beat through the air if they have weapons to do so and with a CB like Asomugha that takes your primary WR out of the game. If a team gives the Raiders a good deal for him they will wrap him up and ship him out. The Raiders would be dumb not to trade him. He's worth a lot and teams need a guy like Asomugha. If he's not traded before the draft (which is likely to happen if the Raiders and Redskins come to an agreement) he will be one his way out next offseason to whatever team gives them the most for him. Which should be a high first round pick and a third or even a second pick, but probably about three picks if the Raiders really wanted to. Either that or a quality player and a mid to low first round pick and a third round pick. It'll happen it's just a matter of when, for what, and to who?

I know that Aso is the best CB in the game and he takes out the primary receiver. And still Raiders loose most of their games. They need serious help at the QB position. I know that Campbell is not the best solution, but he has proven himself to be a starter in the NFL. And he improved through years and he can be even better than he is right now. On defense, Raiders get burned in the middle and on the opposite side of Aso. And QBs get to have enough time to through against the D-Line. Last year, the D-Line improved with the acquisition of Seymour, but it is still a work in progress. Imagine if Haynesworth comes through the middle and Seymour from the side, it is gonna be a nightmare for the QBs. And Rogers, he is not too bad in coverage but he drops catches. And I would prefer the proven young players over the draft picks. Just check the Raiders draft history. I came to USA in 2007, and that is the year when Raiders chose a Round 1 Pick 1 bust Jamarcus Russell. Next year, Darren McFadden, who still haven't done anything yet. And last year, 2 WRs who were not too bad but it is too early to predict anything for them. And the funny thing is that they skipped Michael Crabtree and picked Darius Heyward-Bay. So if I was a Raiders fan, I would not trust in the draft picks and go for proven players

Deangelo Hall was not a good fit for the Raiders man to man coverage every play and is better in the Redskin sheme. Than't why the tandem of Aso and Hall didn't work our in Oakland. Aso is very hard to part with.

i would try to get heinsworth if possible. he doessn't like the three-four so being that he does work hard fitting thee RAIDERS 4-3 would be just fine with me. character wise? i still think he could make it here. through shanny? the move would not happen. through bruce allen? the move could happen! no rummors, just my opinion =)

I know that Aso is hard to part with, but if you can fill up at least 2 very important positions with the proven players and down grading only one position with a "not too bad" player, I'd say it is the deal worth thinking about. That deal helps both the teams almost equally. Raiders get a QB, DT, and they can select an elite OT with their 4th overall pick. On the other hand, Redskins get, of course the best CB in NFL. And if they receive the 3rd rounder, they can have a good OT with their 8th pick, and a NT in the 3rd round. I think both teams will be happy if the deal goes through.

Hey Raiders fans how bout this trade since Al Davis has said he would have settled for a trading Namdi for Albert Haynesworth, Jason Campbell (I just think the skins want to get rid of him I don't really think Al wants him when he has his golden child Cubustastis at QB), Karlos Rogers and a second round pick in this years draft. But now that the Skins don't have a second round pick to trade Al Davis wants a swap of first round picks. So how bout instead of asking the Skins to swap picks in this years draft and give his team Haynesworth, Rogers, and Campbell, he ask the skins to trade him Haynesworth, Campbell, Rogers and a second round pick in next years draft for Namdi or maybe Al Davis can also get a fifth and second round pick out of the Redskins who knows. But I do know one thing Raiders fans I highly doubt Dan Snyder and Bruce Allen will trade picks with the Raiders for anything.
