Or the 12-4 Three Time Super Bowl Champs The New York Football Giants. They did win, what was said to be the toughest division in football. Decidedly I might add. My how easy we forget. The Giants are greatness; they are measured against the dynasties of yesteryear, Dallas, 49ers, New England. The Eagles will be remembered much like the Vikes or the Bills. they got there but didn't have enough to finish.
To my loyal Giants fan,
I agree with you. As a Texan, I find myself wondering why I root for big blue. Is it Eli or Tiki that got me interested? Or was it Strahan? I can't say, but I do like the Giants. I must agree with your assessment of the Giants' NFC dominance, thought they flaked a bit in hard times, it is forgiveable. Yes, the Eagles are like the Bills and the Bengals, just the defeated Super Bowl team. But that isn't so bad.
McNabb is the one player on the Eagles that I admire. His stamina, courage, poise, wit and character put him at the top of the list for QBs in the NFL. But it is all squandered in Philly.
Giants, you have some adjustments to make in the offseason to compete with the Steeler/Cowboy/49er/Patriot dynasties. But if anyone can, I see the Colts or Giants as the next big thing.

All season the Super Bowl picks were Titan/Giants.
What do we get? Cards/Steelers
Super Bowls are hard to predict. Go Cards
