Brady has been getting it done for years with no name very average receivers. I have a lot of respect for what Manning has done but now he has to step up and show he can be great without great receivers. You know, like Brady has done for years.
Brady has had a LOT of help on the defensive side of the ball during his career at NE, something Manning has just recently started to get.

As far TB's average receivers go, 1) Troy Brown, Deion Branch, and Ben Watson are not "average" receivers, and 2) talk to Pioli and the Pats management about that. Obviously, they thought TB's receivers were good enough or they wouldn't have waited until 2007 to get his some more.

Starting training camp with, and practicing/playing the entire season with those guys developed enough timing and familiarity to get him to the SB. And, don't forget, TB had some pretty bad games with his "second rate" receivers, as well. He didn't go undefeated and didn't even make the playoffs the year after his first SB. Everybody thought he was one-n-done.

Manning is doing the best that can be expected, considering what's going on around him. Cut him some slack and give him time to get on the same page with the replacements. If the guys would just stop dropping passes and running the wrong routes things would be much different. The Colt's backups will come around.

watching him rush on passing downs yesterday gives me the impression that he's got not much left or he is holding back ,have to give him a game or two to see

Hey Colts fans do not get discouraged you guys are going to be there in the end and if the Pats are going to go 19-0 than we want them to do it playing the best in the AFC. Right now the way the NFL looks the Pats are 1 and the colts are a 1A if not for the injuries there is no way Indy loses to San Diego. I hope the Pats have a perfect season the same way I hoped Indy won the super bowl last year because you get to see something historic. I wanted to see Peyton win a Super Bowl at least once in his career because you look at the Dan Marino's of the world and their resume always seems incomplete without the word champion next to it. Same reason I wanted to see Ray Bourque get a stanley cup in Colorado. Hope you guys get healthy and bring the best team possible to Gilette in January. Look for me on TV this Sunday night against the eagles, I will be wearing a Darth Vader Mask with Patriots stickers all over it and my Belichick hoodie. Carrying the sign In Belichick We Trust. Peace, America is great because we have the NFL and can banter about it. God Bless.

You know...the Colts are going down in flames this year and it is just too hard for most of you to see it now. Coach D has let the special teams falter and become weak and our rush defense is PATHETIC! THE ONLY SAVING GRACE MAY BE THIS WEEKS GAME IS IN THE DOME...If we can muster up a win...then there is a glimmer of hope that will surely be snuffed out if we make it to Foxboro...We had our chance last year...Now let's rebuild this defense and pick up a few playmakers and get back in contention in the next year or two....

But sorry folks this year is over! If the Jags pull it out this weekend you will hopefully understand it without a doubt...it just not our year!

ps

Asante Samuels UFA next year...he can play and he knows the pats better than anyone other than Tom Brady (and we will need that edge if we meet them next year if we make it back to the playoffs)

Hey Coltssuperfan. I feel you. It really is probably over as New England is just to good and our defense is just poor considering Colts standards of the past (21st in the league against the run). Looks like Jones-Drew and Taylor may just have a big day up here.
