I personally have it on inside knowledge that the Chargers knew it would come down to a field goal from that spot. So, they fixed the turf so that Vinnie would imperceptibly slip and miss. It was pure Belicheat. The Chargers have learned that cheating is what it takes, and from now on will cheat the Colts every time and beat them from here on. Give it up, we've got your #.

This guy is a Great Kicker, for teams that don't have horseshoes on white helmets.
I don't know if he's a Traitor or not. All I/We Know is, he is an incompetent pathetic piece of (fill in the blank).
Your a moron and you don't even deserve to be called a fan of the Colts or any other team. If he had made the kick then you'd been on here bragging about him. Why don't you trolls just go away and disappear?

Wow, his first miss ever from inside of 30 yards. He missed two field goals tonight, from 41 and 29 yards. And he is so pathetic when trying to make a tackle on kickoffs, almost like taking a flop on purpose. He doesn't try very hard as our 'last line of defense' on kickoffs. And for once, just once, would you show some emotion after a miss instead of just grabbing at your facemask. What a Mommy's boy/Boy Scout/Candy Ass!!!

Yeah, and what about those interceptions he threw and those runbacks he let get by him. He also didn't get to their quarterback much or catch any touchdown throws. And forget about the water, it was warm.

When you start out of a hole like that you just have to play perfect to come back, they were far from perfect....but we were still in the game. We are good enough that you watched the whole game because you knew we would be in it...just a bad night for the guys with the toughest schedule in the NFL. Go Colts!!!

It's really not very nice to call people pathetic. It's a GAME. He's a kicker. There is only so much he can do. How a person shows emotion cannot be dictated. I'm sure the guy didn't sleep much last night. You win some, you lose some, you miss some kicks. Get over it and watch AV win another Super Bowl for us.

I guess Vinatieri is getting too old to kick -- missing 3 field goals in 2 weeks is just the start of the downslide of Adam Vinatieri...

Just laughable.......

I would take Adam back in a heart beat. He's a great competitor and the Colts are lucky to have him. He didn't lose the game Peyton's 6 int might have played a huge part..

What?? I guess you haven't been watching all the field goals he has made for the Colts since coming over. I guess those 6 interceptions were his fault. I guess the punt return for a touchdown was also his fault.

I thought he actually showed a lot a class standing up and taking the blame for the loss, when in fact that was a WHOLE LOT of blame to go around.

The only thing I would comment on is that it is much different kicking off turf than it is grass, especially in the rain. That is not an excuse, as professional kickers and supposed to be able to handle all surfaces and conditions, but hey, he was NOT the only reason the Colts lost.

It never should have come down to a field goal attempt. The Special teams let the Colts down as they continue to allow long runbacks. They have to stop that play. That is what they get paid big bucks to do. The San Diego offence did not win, their defence and special teams did.
