True, Pittsburgh has been the benefactor of an "easy" schedule but make no mistake about it, this is the NFL and any team can win on any given Sunday. Take example from the previous winless Rams who beat a resurging Saints team. In my opinion, I think anybody who assumes success based on wins and losses to teams with winning or losing records is misinformed because most people would then have picked the Colts to win over the Chargers and that was not the case. Games are not won or lost on paper, they are won or lost on the field. Maybe Pittsburghs success isn't entirely based on an easy schedule, maybe its is because they aren't bothered by injuries as they were in years past and they are getting more consistent play in all facets of the game. Just a little food for thought.

Obviously, Rick Green is a Browns fan. We have many at the newspaper. In fact for every 2 articles on the Steelers, there are usually at least 3 for the Browns. Did ya think we didn't notice?? Sour Grapes!

Yeah. The Cleveland game was a blowout statistically. However, the scary thing is that Pittsburgh Special teams seem to be performing as they toward the tail end up Kordell Stewarts career when they were burnt several times during the season for TDs or penalty's in key situations. They need to tighten that up.

It is unfortunate that the Erie-Times News is traditionally biased towards the Browns. As it stands, the real test isn't against the Patriots. All things said, analysts say that the only team left that can potentially beat the Patriots is the Steelers. That, to me, shows the strength in the Steelers. Statistically, the only team that has a chance of stopping the number 1 offense is the number 1 defense. Take a guess at who that is. As far strengths in AFC goes, the Steelers, Patriots and Colts hold the fort. Other than that, there isn't much. San Diego and the Ravens have proven almost worthless. If Bruce Arians doesn't make poor decisions in the opening quarter of the rest of the games, the Steelers will have no problem.

I agree with A.S. on his view of the Erie-Times News. I live and go to college in Erie, and Rick Green is probably the worst sports writer working at that paper. The extent of his Cleveland bias is undeniable and displayed within one sentence: "Take out the resurgent Browns, and that's quite a collection of stiffs." Ridiculous. Last time I checked those "Resurgent" Browns lost to Oakland (2-7), New England (Of course), and Pittsburgh (TWICE!!). Their "Resurgent" streak of wins have come against the same teams, in the same division as the Steelers. The difference? The Steelers have enjoyed a much larger margin of victory, and tout the leagues #1 defense. Rick Green is a pompous, Brown loving d-bag.
