Past is the past, if the guy can help the team, then by all means bring him aboard. I think the Packers would be able to keep him on a short leash, and if he causes havoc, then its no loss to the Packers, financially or chemistry wise. If he were to help the secondary and return kicks like he did, then he could bolster the special teams and D tremendously.

Have to disagree on this one. How do we know the guy can still do it? He didn't play well for Dallas. Detroit passed on him, it appears, and they aren't exactly stacked at corner. The Bengals, the island for lost souls, didn't make him an offer. I say the roster spot is more valuable.

Like I said, IF he can help, that's a big if.

Unless hes matured adn doesnt need to party ect,GB would be boring for him,he would have to go to Milwaukee for a night life.

Gb cannot be that desperate they need to rely on the help of this chump. his attempt to comeback in dallas was comical. having this guy on the field for the packers would only assure that other teams will be making big plays downfield.

A lot of folks didn't want Ron Wolf to go after Andre Rison because of his reputation and he ended up being quite a contributor in the SB championship run.
I don't see anything wrong, if you can get him ( Jones) somewhat cheap and if starts any garbage, release him,if he gets his swagger back and plays like hes capable, then we found a diamond in the rough somewhat.

I think the Vick comparison is more relevant, and he helped the Eagles win 1 game in Atlanta by throwing for a TD and Running in a TD. If Pacman could contribute that much towards 1 more win, it would be worth it. The Vick signing turned out just fine, and GB does need help in the secondary since TT decided not to draft one. I'm just saying IMO. I do think its a long shot though. Its fun to discuss anyway.

A roster spot at CB depth is needed, Lee and Blackmon haven't proved they can play injury free, Jones at least has veteran experience and would provide much needed depth at corner and punt returner. I think GB is the only place in the NFL that Pacman could return to and be successful. Another comparison would be Ricky Williams, and he has done well for Parcells and company. This guy just needs to be in the right environment, Dallas had disaster written all over it.

Funny it is how when other teams go after guys like this it is all bad (they can have him, nothing good, what a mistake)But mention the Packers doing it and every thing comes up roses. This is just like you two face fans.

Two differences: Rison could definitely still play and he and Favre had relationship from Atlanta. Who's connected to Jones in our organization? I understand the financial ease of this, but he still makes at least the same as a draftee, and if he "starts his garbage" it's a distraction we don't need. We didn't draft any corners. Why take this guy?

Again, the difference is Ricky Williams can play. Pac had one decent season and then tanked. Couldn't make the Cowboys. Been suspended twice. If Blackmon and Lee can't go, why not draft a corner? It makes no sense at all. I'm not concerned because I don't think this will happen (signing Pacman).

Looks like Pacman could be signing with Cincy after all. That makes sense.

I don't think it will happen either, just something to talk about, pretty slow time of the year.

Did Ted just wake up and find out he's a DB short?
Maybe the Vikes stretched when they picked Cook, but they dang well knew they needed some DB help.
To wait and then send flowers to Pacman is vintage TT.
Glad to see you guys still hanging out. Now that you don't frequent the Vikings site very often, you have been replaced with some rather unsavory fellow fans.
Just had to see if the 'even heads' still had a spot as Packer fans.
Here's to #3 North title in a row, LOL.

Minn needs some o-line help as well if BF returns, I don't think he could handle another pounding like that again. The Packers drafted Morgan Burnett to help in the secondary.

Two new starters and Hutch was dinged up on that O-Line.

Morgan was drafted for his hair.

Injury's are a part of the game, and if Minn gets "dinged" up again on the o-line, it could be trouble, same goes for GB secondary though.

The off season is for dreaming Eric, that is, unless it happens.

Then I called it, LOL.
