When was the last time the Bears signed a premier wide receiver, or QB for that matter?

ooooooowweeeeeeee!!!

i would love to see roy in a bears uniform, and i'm not even a texas fan !

Do it, Jerry, do it !!!!

if there is one post of mine i want Angelo to read it's this one.

he's obviously a game-changer, a premier talent for years to come. but unlike Moose, he seems like he'd fit right in and be a great teammate.

just look at his constant jabbing and fun-poking he does at the bears. it's not over the line, but instead there's a spirit of gamesmanship that makes you smile.

don't forget the impact he'd have on developing corners and safeties, positions we seem to draft a lot of every year. going up against them everyday would only improve your draft picks.

bring in roy ! bring in roy !

David Haugh does an excellent job of picking up on things that go unnoticed by most media members. His articles are out of the box and involve much deeper thought and perspective. I really enjoy his articles much more than any other beat writer.

If Jerry really wants to redeem his faith with the fan base, and season ticket holders who spend their hard earned money on a truly good offensive product, it would be wise to acquire a quality WR. With the running game on the upside and improving, adding a true WR would inform the league that this team is for real. Then next off season, they can focus on a QB of their future. But, this is Jerry I'm talking about and we know how some decisions have gone!

I wish the Bears had some players with the confidence of Roy Williams. He sounds like someone who just wants to win, not a "I'm the greatest and y'all suck" kind of guy. Since the Cubs will blow it and the Sox have a team no one likes but Sox fans, I guess we have to hope the Bears can get on a roll the next four weeks. Good luck Corey Graham and Nick Roach.

Why would he go to the Bears? Isn't this where receivers come to die and corners come to get injured?
I would point out that Grossman did not play in those games.

NO MORE GROSSMAN TALK PLEASE!!!! We have a huge game coming up. Let's not waste time going back and forth over that again.
Moving on.... Jerry, it would be wise for you to at least make a run for him. This move would be profitable for the organization but it would restore some faith in the team and the front office that a lot of our "fair weather" fans have lost.
With that said, we should be doubling those tow guys most of the game. mainly because McBride, if he plays, is so undersized that would be a disaster to leave him out there one-on-one. At least Graham has some size to him. Oh and don't forget, BLITZ!!! They should see a heavy dose of Urlacher and Briggs rushing the QB. And let's ride the Forte-Jones Express to victory.

GO BEARS!!!! 2008 NFC NORTH CHAMPIONS!!!!

Yea, everyone knows that somehow getting a premier QB is what it will take for us to win a division title, then perhaps even two play-off games to win an NFC Championship and finally, just finally, a trip back to a Super Bowl. Of course we Bear fans can only dream of such a season because we don't have a QB who could help accomplish such a feat. Since that's the case, we need to draft a fantastic college QB in the first round or maybe we could pull off an incredible trade for a QB, in his twenties would be preferable, who has started every game for a team that has accomplished such a rare feat. You know, a QB who could actually win an NFL Offensive Player of the Month Award like Walter did, guys like Cutler, or Rivers, or Romo, or Young, or, Andersen, or Reinhart. Boy, if we could only have a QB like that, we could really win some games by big numbers, be among the leading teams in points scored, and put some teams away be half time. Just think how good our team could be if we could get a QB like that now that we have a running back like Forte, who is better than Thomas Jones. But finding a QB who could actually accomplish all that is only a dream for us Bear fans.

Dear Roy,
Without a proven quarterback, you'd fit right in here. From Kitna to Kyle, you wouldn't miss a beat. Oh, one little thing though: our defense. It tends to win games, playoff games too.

Unfortunately, his excellent points also go unnoticed by the coaches and Angelo.

If the Bears go after Williams and get him, somebody better teach him how to keep his big mouth shut.

Yaeh, But even better SAH where could we get a guy who would trip over a blade of grass and sack himself or fumble the ball from center or take a second and one and turn it into a fourth and 25. Or maybe throwing the ball up in the air to make sure that nobody but the opposing team could catch it or maybe throwing the ball up so the other team could get a touchdown. And to be able to do all these things in one game while the entire world is watching. Man I just don't know where we could get one of thoose premier QB's either! I don't think its humanly possible to be able to achive all this one day by one person... Getting this type of QB would be to good to be true

GAME CHANGER???
Remember the 34 point fourth quarter last season. Yea...I think he was a part of changing that game. I would guess he wants out. Why wouldn't you want a guy like him. Booker has been in the league since Tom Waddle. Get Williams!!

Greetings Fellow Bears Fans:I agree with everyone that we should go after a premier receiver. It is just my feeling, but not Williams. He kind of reminds me of a T.O. He has a big mouth & he talks too much publicly. He just fires up the other team with his antics.I dont see him as a good locker room fit for us.I could be wrong.Maybe he can change, but I just dont feel comfortable with him.I would definitely like to see us sign a top receiver in the off-season.We also need a long term up-grade at Q.B maybe Hanie could end up being good, with some time to learn on the sideline. He did show good pocket presence,a good arm & mobility. It was in pre-season,but he did show good ability.Or possibly trade for a young Q.B from another team.I am excited as always to watch the Bears Sunday. We should be able to have a good game.We should be able to run the ball well vs the Lions Defense.Forte should have his biggest game thus far.I am hoping for Jones to get a little pay back as well.He will be very motivated,so we should give him some carries. We will definitely be hurting at cornerback. But I believe we should be able to generate alot of pressure on Kitna with their weak O-Line.So I think we can off-set that weakness & come out on top.Good luck Bears,Tame those lowly Lions! Take care Everyone. God Bless! BEAR DOWN!! GO BEARS!!

I have a problem with somebody on a team that is winless talks trash! Maybe he was joking but its just stupid to say anything when you are 0-3.
As far as him being a Bear in the future well he would definetly be a upgrade. He is one of few big mouth recievers who have the talent to back their words. But until the Bears get steady at the QB position I don't think any big name recievers want to come here. Moose put us out there bad! After his big game last Sunday sounds like their may be some truth to what he said!

Be careful today Cancer, because your emotions could cloud certain issues as they often to and leave you feeling confused. You should be especially wary of believing what you want to believe, rather than believing the evidence in front of your eyes. It's easy to kid yourself now about someone's motives or reliability, even if deep down you know that you're telling yourself a load of old twaddle.
