i have been a packer since before lombardie, in the early 50's and have seen good and great players over the years. I am saddened that the hypr regarding brett favre has over shadowed the great play of arron rodgers. Whwen are we going to forget what we had and concentrate on who we now have, a great quarterback arron rodgers.
win or lose he will be our man, the other man was not gracious to just go away. i hope when he retires that he will always remember what he did to himself.Im sure pete rose will alwys remember his mistake. and so will brett. |

I assume you are talking about Rose betting on baseball. In that case, I have to say: Get back on the alzheimer's medication old man! I mean WTF? Did Favre do something that the media missed? It must be something he did that only happened in your diseased head. Early symptons of dementia include: comparing "betting on baseball" to "wanting to play football." However, during your brief lucid moment, you were correct that the focus should be on our current QB. I wanted to end on a friendly note, because by now I'm sure you've forgotten what I said earlier in this post. Take care and don't forget to take your meds. |

it.s about loyalty. not medication which i'm sure makes your generation go around,I dont need a pill to know what make a person loyal and a gentleman. nowdays it's the money and revenge, not the pride and appreciation of a state and its loyal fans.
I wish him well but i also like so many in this great state of ours feel betrayed by his insincere attitude. your supposed to be a man ,and men do not embarase all the people who for years gave him their loyalty. he has not hurt anyone but himself. or were you not taught that. But i guess your not old enough to know that yet. |

I'm old enough to know that players get traded. Perhaps Favre learned about loyalty from Ted Thompson. You can blame him for getting traded if you want. You could blame the person that traded him. I see no purpose in doing either. I'm sure TT thought he was doing the right thing. It has worked out in that the Packers still have a fine QB. I'm sure BF has done what he feels is right. He has continued to play football and provide for his family. In what way can their actions be characterized as disloyal? The world doesn't revolve around you. Mature adults usually accept the career decisions of other adults. Real men do what they need to do and take care of their families. Favre isn't a villian for being loyal to himself and his family. Perhaps you're not old enough to know that yet. |

GB fans are gonna cheer very loudly when BF comes out onto the field, and hopefully that shuts up these moronic Viking fans who think GB fans are classless. For about 3 hours GB fans will not cheer for BF and they will cheer on their TEAM, that is what loyal fans do. I love how most Viking fans just can't stand Fran Tarkenton, and he was their best QB ever. I can't wait for this game to be over so fans and the media can move on, it is getting old.

The passer rating thing is over rated. Sacks that are the QB's fault do not go against them. And incompletes do.Which is right. So throw aways would bring down the ratings. Point being take a sack not a throw away the rating is not affected. And INT's that are tipped (go off receivers hands)count which is not always the QB's fault. Why do they not count winning the game. Or bringing the team from behind . The whole thing is stupid.

Forgot the other point. Sometimes stats are miss leading.

It seems apparent that Aaron doesn't want to take a lot of chances and thus holds unto the ball a bit too long. Remember that this is a guy really playing only into his second season. The progressions and making those decisions are still to come. What we have here is a very gifted player with all this talent. The guy is smart and very accurate and we should be grateful to have a player of this caliber playing QB for us after the many years we had with one of the greatest QB's in Favre. Rodgers will only get better and that is a scary thought. What we have people is the best young QB going and this following Brett.

Are you still waiting? |

A lot of the times Sunday when AR took sacks, it wouldn’t have benefitted the team to throw it away, and keeping it an extra second to try to let something open up was the best decision. I’m mainly thinking of short losses on third down, where the payoff of a first down, no matter if the chances are slim, is worth risking a loss of three yards on the ensuing punt.
Rodgers isn’t trying to pad is QB rating. And most other QBs would have picks in some of those situations, which few would argue are better than the sacks. |

Hey Trashcan, is it about loyalty, when someone questions a retirement decision they made to come back to a team he lead to the NFC Championship game and a 13-3 record then, the management and coaching staff tells you that you are not wanted so they trade you away??? This is what I call the GB front office not being loyal to someone that helped bring this team to a place where they could afford to have those nice new offices they are sitting. So take your loyalty argument and shove it. The only loyal one was Favre, when he said he wants to continue to play and would like to finish his career in GB, but TT didn't want to let him compete for his job, and didn't want to pay him to ride the bench. So basically you wanted Favre to stay retired, because obviously he is too old and washed up to compete in the NFL, hahaha I am glad he rubbed the packers face in the dirt. Then just smiled and said how much he loved the GB fans and went home laughing all the way. TT the guy that traded the one of the greatest qb's just to get fired after losing to him twice in the same season. What a great ending to the story. |

Aaron's a great talent and a great fantasy guy. He has tremendous potential as a winner: smarts, skills, attitude, toughness. Just needs some more experience managing games--and frankly imo more latitude to check out of bad plays--Mac! Let's also hope 80 sacks doesn't derail a promising future. I was talking to a friend, a big Vikings fan, and he was comparing (with T. Jackson) how in the past that Childress would have run the ball and taken the sure 3 points (referring to the last 2 TDs in Sunday's game). But he could see that Childress trusts Favre and checked out of both plays and they scored six each time. I believe Aaron's capable of more than just the hot blitz read. I mean, what is he learning is this alleged QB school? What do we have to lose?
