i'm not saying the pats aren't old because they are old.. but indy is starting to show it's age as well.. and it's only a matter of time b4 marvin retires.. if he comes back at 100% then its a different story but this is a major injury he is coming off of.. the colt offense is aging.. they lost Tarik last season and will be losing marvin soon... Peyton is getting older as well.. so I mean the colts offense is taking a step down.. and your defense is great when it's pass rushing.. but please don't try to tell me you have a good run defense.. it only looks good because teams are too far behind to be running it.. I'm not saying your defense is horrible but its built to rush the passer and if indy is in closer games it, that defense could collapse.. see your game with san diego...
we know players are getting older, thats the reason to go for it now. We have a replacement for Tarik.. his name is Tony Ugoh. Reggie Wayne is more than capable to step into the #1 receiver position.. just look how well he did this year. Gonzo only has to step into the #2 position when Marvin decides to hang it up.
Lets take a look at all of the young productive players on the colts, shall we?
Joseph Addai, entering his 3rd year
Antoine Bethea, entering his 3rd year
Gonzo, entering his 2nd year
Kelvin Hayden, entering his 4th year
Marlin Jackson, entering his 4th year
Ed Johnson, entering his 2nd year
Freddy Keiaho, entering his 3rd year
Ryan Lilja, entering his 5th year
Quin Pitcock, entering his 2nd year.
Bob Sanders, entering his 5th year
Tony Ugoh, Entering his 2nd year.
Those are just the confirmed starters. In reality, the Colts were the 2nd youngest team in the nfl last year, according to espn.
