The right protection? I suggest they call in the CIA and the FBI, because that's the only "protection" they're going to be able to get. They sure as hell don't have any on their offensive line. What a miserable showing from a miserable team. I'm ashamed to admit I'm a Raiders fan. Brayton should be sent packing. We don't need shit like that on the field from anyone.....I don't give a damn how good he is. That's a chicken shit way of playing football and it gives the entire team a bad name and reputation. I'd like to see them thought of as tough, but I sure as hell don't want them to be thought of as dirty players, and Brayton is just that. He's a thug, plain and simple, and he should be suspended for the rest of the season.

Art Shell wants to stop "standing by" Tom Walsh, otherwise he could be standing by him in the dole que after the season ends.

I went to high school with Andrew Walter. I was a few years older and after graduation I watched him grow as he never did sit in high school!! This guy went to a run and shoot high school where every quarterback hucks three-four hundred yards a game. Then Walter whent to ASU and lost a bunch while throwing the hell out of the ball. One bowl game in three years and a piss ass bowl at that. Now he is in Oakland being overpaid and ruining my team. These guys must play Aaron Brooks and let this kid develop or destroy himself but not on primetime. Andrew Walter has no balls, never has, never will!!!

Dwayne, i now live where Walter, went to high school. The locals repect him even though he plays for the RAIDERS; I personally think he is going to be the future of the RAIDERS; at the moment it's hard to prove what he can do with the kind of offense that we have and wide reiceiver moss, droping balls and porter, wanting a trade and our offensive cordinator tom walsh. But for now i say,try Brooks, the whole second half of the season. Now you can see how both QB'S handle the same sittuation.

Aaron Brooks is not what the raiders need now, they need an o-line that can keep the pressure off of who ever is the starting quaterback is.I say keep Walters in its not like a change at qb is going to change where the raiders season ends up.

For those of you Raiders fans who don't know....Brayton was forced to attend "anger management counseling" before he was allowed back to practice with the team during his first year with the team. Maybe that will give you some insight as to his behavior during the Seahawks game. The young man has a serious problem. I realize pro football is all about being big, bad, tough and intimidating, but never once did I see Reggie White pull such shit on the field, and he was one of the biggest, baddest, toughest defensive linemen I've ever seen in my life. A real class act that Tyler Brayton would do well to study....and possibly try to emulate, on and off the field. But, please....don't ask me to hold my breath. Brayton is a punk.

I just hope above eveything else, that we dont loose Ryan the defense co-ordinator. Already I read stuff saying this guy is a future NFL Head Coach. Well I like to see that happen in Oakland before it happens elsewhere .. damn the man looks like a defrocked hells angel. The offense is dismal, an thats got to come down to Walsh surely ?

I agree whole heartedly Steve. Ryan, hopefully is the heir apparent for the soon to be vacant head coaching job in Oakland. The offense, as you mentioned is dismal to say the least. Now the defense on the other hand, is excellent. Ryan has the energy and enthusiasm needed to lead the team, as opposed to Shell, who always comes across as being under the influence of valium and hashish!
Walsh hasn't a clue what it takes to be an offensive co-ordinator in the NFL....or even a the high school level. As in so many years in the near past, the team is heavy on talent, but so very lacking in quality coaching and leadership. I don't know how crusty old Al can stand by and let his ship slowly sink beneath the waves without as much as a whimper.

Whats up Dewman, Do you remember when Rob Ryan, started with the RAIDERS ? It seemed as though every wanted him out ,couldn't get the defense going. Now look at him :looking straight out like the RAIDER, image of what the RAIDERS, need in coaching. I don't want to look past Shell, and i know how you and others feel about him but i know Shell wants to win but won't receive the right respect or cooperation from his players,The one that i agree should go is Walsh, who knows? GO RAIDERS!

Yep....I sure do remember when Ryan came to our team. He had to make do with what he had at the time, but in the last couple of years, they've made some fantastic aquisitions (Fabian Washington, Michael Huff....and Derrick Burgess to name a few). But, Coloraider, you know as well as I do that Al won't tolerate very many performances like we've endured this season before he'll make some changes, usually starting at the top. I guess I'm just tired....very, very tired of seeing the totallity of eneptness, week after week by the offense. Gallery is a total bust, in spite of all the hype heaped on him during the draft. I keep looking for a light at the end of the tunnel, but each time it's just another train!

Don't misunderstand my ranting and raving. It's only a sign of my burning desire for the Silver and Black to be the team each team in the NFL regretted having to play. I'm 61 years old, and in my entire life have never had "another team". I've been Silver and Black since they came into existance. It just galls me to see them the laughing stock of the entire football world. To have someone call them loosers to my face is like slapping me....and sometimes, if I wasn't so damn old and broken down, I'd kick some ass over it!

But don't fret....I'll never give up the ship. Never, ever.

Dwayne, you're an idiot, probably still living in Grand Junction working construction as well as your second marriage with a couple kids that will one day look at you like the losser you are, so if I was you I would be careful criticizing someone like Andrew who has accomplished more at the age of 23 then you will the rest of your lame existance. Andrew didn't get to the place he is today because it just fell in his lap. If you want to go back to his high school days he played on a team that was mediocre compared to other QB's recuited to a major colleges. Then while at ASU he beat every record in the PAC 10 with a team that was again mediocre compared to the other PAC 10 QB's, let's face it, even though he has Shaun McDonald and Darick Hagen the rest of the team is finding jobs outside the NFL.(for the most part) Andrew has been sacked something like 45 times, he has an offensive coordinator that needs to go back to running the bed and breakfast he left to come back to the leage after 20 years, not to mention his receivers are not catching the ball. I don't care who you put at QB, the Raiders are going to struggle on the offensive side of the ball until they make changes in the coaching staff. So Dwyne, enjoy the rest of the season with Arron as your QB, because I would rather see him get blown up and save Andrew for the future...

Where do I start? As for Aaron Brooks, leave that dump truck on the bench along with tui asa poopo and stick with Walter. You will get the exact performance from the others except Walter is basically a rookie. The kid is sharp, talented but inexperienced and the real raider fans know the offensive line sucks, the plays are whack, and our stars are not shining. Andrew should finish out the season and learn from the mistakes and when he gets the right offense he's going to be dangerous. I am down Raider fan here in the bay area, and I was just in the Oakland on Sunday and it feels horrible and I tell you I see the frustration with the fans but I would never never say I am ashamed to admit I am a Raider fan.....(this is shot out to Dewman).....Although I trust your love for the Raiders, I would never say those words. Live by the sword die by the sword are Raiders words to follow. As for dirty players(Brayton)...the Raiders are the bad boys of football, would you expect anything else from my boys? Frustration, pure frustration. I give it up to the defense..we come to see you every week and we have been selling out the stadium at home (and we suck! hehe) and my people by Oakland, the bay area, and san joaquin valley have finally been able to watch on television. Peace - The Real Raider Fan

Is it worth starting Brooks over Walter ?? Isnt that a backward step ?? I never thought I'd say this, but why not bench Moss and start Morant & Curry as the wideouts, to hell with it get the hungry youngsters in. All the Raiders articles I read are getting like "he said, she said" what happened to getting on with the job in hand and playing the game to the best of your abillity.

i agree 99% of what you said. it apears that the two highly payed stars do not want to play, or at least if they're not in the mood =( i know walter, has played to the best of his ability but he's not yet ready, i think they should try brooks, after all he did look good in pre-season + experience + a scrambler, strong arm ? why not try. we might see something different or worse who knows? and give him the guys that want to play and feel good about playing all the time, "morant and curry" give it a shot i say. The only reason that I even came to this page was to laugh at the frustrations that the Raiders fans must be feeling. Instead I found out that the Raiders had many true although seemingly ignorant fans. First of all, Andrew Walters is a bust plain and simple. He has absolutely no heart and he proves this every week. Last Sunday against the Broncos he gave up and gave the game away when there was still a chance to win it. What kind of true NFL caliber quarterback fumbles and turns the ball over two plays in a row? I can understand that sometimes when the O-line isn't playing up to par they may not be able to avoid the sack but not lose the ball twice in a row. I'm a die-hard Cowboys fan and we were dealing with a QB that just didn't seem to be able to stay on his feet but he did manage to go to the ground with the ball still in his hands (Drew Bledsoe). Now, we've gone to our scrambling QB to make up for our O-Line weaknesses and also to decrease the defenses blitzes. I say toss Walter and put Brooks in it can't get any worse. It just may open up the offense some. To whoever said bench Moss that had to be the worst idea in the world. I'd be more than delighted to see him in Dallas. You can't blame receivers when they have QB's that throw the ball at their feet. If you have no confidence in your QB's ability to get the ball to you it may cause a drop or to when he SURPRISES you by actually throwing a decent pass. Andrew Walter is a never been and never will be. If he can't produce with targets like Randy Moss he is trash. Just look at what Moss did for Culpepper's career who proved he was a bust without Moss. The saddest part of Sunday's game was on the last fumble Walter looked like he didn't even want the snap. It looked like he just let it drop then he could have recovered it if he only TRIED. Instead he just layed there on the ground and waved his arms. If I was a Raiders fan I would never be caught defending Walter. He is a disgrace to the Raiders organization. He has thrown three times more INT's than touchdowns. Tony Romo has thrown more TD's and almost as many yards in 3 1/2 games as Walter has in nine. He is still not a top notch QB, but if Walter came to Dallas I'd kill myself. Just imagine what it would be like if the schedule had not been such an easy one also. It would be horrible. To sum it up it doesn't matter if Walter was great in highschool, or college he is just not a professional caliber quarterback. Get rid of the bum.
