Wanted: Better players - Talent ...
There are numerous concerns about this Penn State football team - not the least of which are the very real possibility of this season spiraling toward the mediocrity of 6-6 and that the coaching staff had an embarrassing night of mass confusion Saturday at Iowa - but there's one glaring issue that stands out the most.Full Story

Cory is partially correct. The team is very young- equates to the inexperiencce factor. They have good players-but they need to make better applicatuion of the players to the situations they have on the field; improved coaching. Why not use Royster as a wide out-instead of trying to run him thru the line(they are inexperienced)-Royster is not a rock and sock em-physical bull dozer. Use Newsome on the running plays, where short yardage is needed etc. Any coaching dynasty becomes lethargic-Hall needs to get off his butt and get out recruiting, and Joe on special occassions.
There are players there, who have "fire in their bellies" to get out there, and get after it. Use them, when you recognize their existance.
We must also be patient- young teams take time to
materialize into a machine; and the only way to do that is play games, and put the talent puzzle together. Please also realize that coaches and players are humans that make mistakes and put their pants on the same way that you and I do..
