Sweed will do well in the Pittsburgh offence. Man did Pittsburgh get a GREAT pick in Mendenhall!

I am very pleased with the 1st 2 picks after that though I am a little perturbed that they didn't get more OL's and a CB. All that money Big Ben got is going to be wasted if he keeps getting sacked 98 times in a season!! And now with the best guard in the game gone, they made no effort to shore up that gaping hole Faneca kept plugged for so many years. And we didn't need a RB or QB, but I understand taking Mendenhall cause he fell in our laps, but Dixon is only gonna be a backup, which could have been taken care of in free agency or next draft. But maybe there is method to this madness. Maybe Kemoeatu is going to be able to fill Faneca's shoes, although I highly doubt it. But Big Ben got his big receiver and we got a big back, so I look forward to watching them in action this season. GO STEELERS!!!!!!

I wanted an OL too. That said, it's hard to get upset about Limas Sweed, D. Dixon, or R. Mendenhall. I mean, who thought athletes like them would fall so far?

believe it or not next years ol prospects are better then this year was so im cool with the playmaker picks besides you can build a line and teach technique but you cant teach athletisism which is what you find in sweed and mendenhall... great steels. next years draft we need a cb dline and oline so it should be a boring draft im exited about this year tho

Its gonna be pretty exciting, that's for sure. Was watching the 1st 2007 Pittsburgh/Cincy game on NFL Replay...we smoked them, but imagine what Big Ben would've done with this year's tools in range.

I mean either way you look at it, it was gonna take more than just this draft to get exactly what we wanted. 2 years at best to get all the oars flowing in the same direction. We may not go to the SB this year, but we are gonna smack some people around, on the way!! Namely the Browns, muwahhhha hhaaaaa Steel is in my veins!!!! |
