If Minnesota were to draft Manti Te'o, it would go a long way to solidifying its interior defense.

They need another good offense lineman. The addition of the last years OL was very impressive. AP ran through large hole imagine what one more improvement can do. Then pick up a wide receiver in FA.

The Vikings will probably target somebody like Livtre from Buffalo as our big free agent Aquisition. Biggest needs for the Vikes IMO...OC Why does a team with Adrian Peterson and Christian Ponder (who has decent speed) run a traditional 1970's offense? HELLO! Pistol option. Skittles hates the pocket and bails early anyway. Another question, why does Musgrave not call play action passes? he has got to go. Our biggest need (which many of you will disagree) is a nose tackle. A space eating pass rusher will make our linebackers better, which makes our secondary better. Grab a burner receiver 2nd round. MLB 3rd. Then start drafting for value all the way down. We do in fact need a punter though. Kluwe= suck and he is hurt again.

I hear the Bears didnt pick up Brian Urlacher contract. You would think with what they was going to offer Jasper Brinkley the Vikes could go after Urlacher.

Wow would that be good!

Urlacher is like Jarred Allen a team leader and a engine that will not stop.

Go get him!

im a Viking fan in Chicago. Urlacher is not like he is was three years ago he's been injured these couple of years . But I don't think the Vikings wanna spend 5 million that he is demanding .

It would be great wouldn't it. I would hate to see a rookie starting as MLB for the Vikes. I would draft a MLB for sure & let him learn from one of the best. I say go after Urlacher & offer him a 2 or 3 year contract with incentives, that can total near his asking price if he plays a full season at a high level.

It would be a defense that teams would truly be scared to face.

The Bears offer to Urlacher was 2 million for a one year contract. If I was the Vikes I would see if Urlacher would take a 2 milliona year for two years & add in 500,000 in ncentives, on how well his performance is each year that would pay him 2.5 million a year. He might take it.

The Vikes can still pick a MLB in the draft & who better to learn from. I dont think Frazier wants a rookie starting at MLB.

Urlacher sucks at this point in his career.
http://walterfootball.com/draft2013_3.php

78. St. Louis Rams: Robert Woods, WR, USC
79. Pittsburgh Steelers: Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor
85. Washington Redskins: Markus Wheaton, WR, Oregon State
88. Green Bay Packers: Quinton Patton, WR, Louisiana Tech
94. Baltimore Ravens: Da'Rick Rogers, WR, Tennessee Tech
96. Kansas City Chiefs: Ryan Swope, WR, Texas A&M

How many of those guys have been mocked to the Vikings in round 1? Just say no to reaching for need in rd 1.

You're right. Urlacher's forte was his speed and ability to play the Tampa 2 defense. You can't teach speed so his benefit is limited to the Vikings.
So if the Vikings take a MLB and a WR...who? Brown and Austin?

Yeah, I'm seeing Brown get some love. Austin's a slot burner. A possibility, for sure. If we don't get a MLB in FA yet, wouldn't be surprised to see the Vikes go WR/LB in rd 1. Seems obvious enough for Spielman. TO get the stab myself in the leg pain I expect, though, it should really be WR/CB in round 1.

I've seen Kevin Minter from LSU get some first round attention. Think he's a second rounder, myself. Te'o is a possible - looked fine on tape, minus alabama. But Vikes are talking 3 down LB. maybe they think Te'o is too slow.(he's faster than Burfict, who had 174 tackles last year as an udfa - wtf, why did vikes not pick him, again?)

The offensive lineman we drafted last year was a big help to the running game don't pass up one like that for the other side of the line.

Smith was very good also.

Here's to a draft team that knows what their doing!
