Bob does the same thing in the NFL that he did in college, scare opponents and knock the crap out of them.
Stay healthy hitman.

The rest of the AFC south just started crying because they know they'll have to worry about seeing him twice this year, which means HELLO 5th consecutive division title baby.

Sept 6th....two weeks away!!

Here is another stat about the Colts to chew on. Everyone wants to point to Bob Sanders as being the difference in the playoffs and it's true he did help a lot, but check this out:

"With Sanders out 12 games with a knee injury, the Colts fielded one of the worst run defenses in NFL history during the regular season -- 173 yards allowed per game, 5.3 per attempt. But with Sanders back in full form for the playoffs, filling gaps like a fourth linebacker and finishing plays, the defense became the driving force behind the championship run. It allowed averages of 82.8 yards running for those four games, 4.1 per attempt."

Amazing? Maybe not. If we look beyond the numbers we see that:

in the regular season teams ran an average of 33 running plays against the Colts.
In the playoffs teams ran an average of 20 running plays against the Colts.

WHY? No one really knows, but I would think that it was because they felt the pressure to keep up with the Colts Offense. So maybe, just maybe, defenses don't always win championships.

I'll tell you why. Lack of first downs = less Time of Possession = Less Plays = Bob Sanders is a bad man!!

Take it slow Bob. These games do not mean anything! Save it for Reggie Bush and put a "You got Jacked Up" hit on him like the one he got last year in the playoffs.

If Sanders could defend the pass like he does the run he would be considered with the other top safetys in the league. And it helps if he could ever play a full season. That Colts D will just be laughable this year. Can you say Rob Morris and Raheem Brock ! What a joke.

I hope Colts can win the AFC South seeing how its the second weakest divison in football behind the AFC North. Btw, I am not a Lions fan, so you can hold off the Lions jokes.

The first team D looked very good against the Bears. Now with our man back...the rest of the NFL better watch out! Bethea better stay healthy because #43 Matty G., Bob's back up, could sneak into the starting line up opposite #21.
