This is more what I like to hear.I dont think this team is all that bad. With the playmakers we already had and the additions weve made the skys the limit.Doesnt matter what anybody says its what we do on the field. We still need some breaks though like everybody staying healthy but that goes without saying.

I'd like to think they can compete, but I'm going with 6-10.
If Ponder gets time, and he improves, especially in crunch time, I'll eat crow for sure

Comeon 40 for 60.Dont be the pessimist. We have more offensive weapons than we ever had when Favre was here.Rice had the hot hand but Shank was never anything all that special. And I sure am glad we dont have Rice now.And I sure am glad that we finally got rid of that crappy secondary. The player that excites me is not Jerome Simpson but Greg Childs. He needs to stay healthy though and not be another Rice. That guys got attitude and I beleive hes a playmaker. So is Wright for that matter.Teams are gonna have a hard time defending against us.With Rudolph and Carlson and Childs and Simpson and Percy and Wright not to mention Peterson how do they know what were gonna do.Jenkins and Aromashodu are alright but their a possession reciever. With Burton challenging Im not sure either one will make the team. They werent every good last year. The secondary is gonna be good too. They arent gonna outrun Robinson or outsmart Smith. And their not going to outjump Chris Cook.Ponder did some great things last year.He wasnt very good on first down but nobody was open and they just covered Percy cause they knew Aromashodu or Jenkins couldnt do much.I was impressed with Ponder in the end zone. This team is ready to upset allot of teams.Ponder isnt Rodgers but either is Eli Manning.

I was overly optimistic last year when I predicted 5-11.
Smith could be shaping up to be the next Dustin Fox, only taken in the first round instead of second.
Just how I see it and I'd love for them to prove me wrong.

I totally agree with bleeds purple. The Vikings are extremely underrated this year. Look at San Frans power ranking for last year. They were at 28 I believe. How many games were lost in the fourth quarter? We win all those games and we are already a much improved team and a playoff contender. I don't understand what these analysts are basing their rankings on! We had a depleted secondary (worst in the NFL) and we still had the best pass rush in the league. Improved line, improved secondary, this team can go 8-8 easily and turn some heads doing it. 2013 here we come!

Why would the Vikings cause trouble in the NFC North?
EASY ANSWER:
Outdoor games in Minneapolis in December.

Youve really gone over the deep end my friend>I think all them poundings Cutler took have gone to youre head.We wont even be playing outside till probably 2014.I think the stadium goes in stages and when their ready to build the second half of it thats when they tear down the dome. Not positive about that though.LOL

I believe the earlier you get to play games outdoors the more of an equalizer it becomes especially in the NFC North. Cuntler doesn't like the cold, I don't think Sharon likes it either. Stafford is a panty-waist too

Hi Bear Fan,The only problem is Im pretty sure were going to have a retractible roof and according to the NFL we cant have it open if its cold. The only ones that get away with that are the outdoor only stadiums.

You are right though that for one or two years well be playing outside at TCF stadium. From what I heard though they want to schedule our home games early in the season so unless we make the playoffs and have home field advantage we may never play outside in the cold at home.

Its true that outdoor teams have won 43 of the last 45 Super Bowls So is it that a dome team cant play in cold weather OR is it a false statement? Could it be that them 43 teams was just a better teams? Could it be the Dome team is playing on the cold weather teams home field & this is the reason for losing? Many times the Dome team will Split wins Winning there home game & losing on the cold weather teams home field SO is that a Cold weather team cant win in a Dome? Conditions that are wet or snowy will actually help the offense rather then the defense more then muddy conditions. We all agree with this right. It can be hard to make changes in directions in muddy conditions, so the Home team knowing there field has the advantage.. Basically, just looking at the weather instead of all the other factors when handicapping a football game is a bad idea. Trying to find a value bet by trying to figure out the weather is something that should be looked at, but do not put too much value in it. Thats a handcpping rule. Now it is true the cold weather teams does have the advantage. Why is that maybe its because there playing at home Otherwise they wouldn't Split the percentage of wins with the Dome team when playing in the Dome teams home field. Well that's my thoughts on it anyway What do you think.

My bet would be,
1st off there are way more outdoor teams than dome teams.Kind of tilts the playing field.
2nd off,how many S.B.'s were played before the 1st dome team existed.
