Hmmm, so if you get drunk and kill someone, the team welcomes you back.

Get drunk and use a racial slur, your career is over.....even in Philly, who recently was praised for giving someone else a "second chance"

Cooper's mistake? Running his mouth while drunk instead of running someone over while drunk.....

I agree if ur talking about the guy from the Rams yrs. ago who hit the woman while drunk. In Riley's case....ya' work with around 60% AA's, why even use racial slurs. The guy should be dropped from team. I mean this is a high-profile work place (NFL). He'll never be accepted by his teammates.

I know.

The sad reality is that saying a word is considered worse than killing someone (even a team mate), beating your wife,(alleged) rape, or (pick your felony here).

Not trying to justify it, just put it in context........

I think it's ludicrous that a man's livelihood can be ended due to uttering that word. Didn't Jesse Jackson admit spitting into white peoples food? The guy was drunk and has since apologized. Vick mistreats man's best friend, does his time, apologizes and all is forgiven. There's definitely a double standard.

They were animals. We are talking about human beings. And NO many STILL don't forgive Vick. BTW, Vick did step up and vouch for Cooper to receive forgiveness.

did you know Oprah denounces rappers ( e.g. jay-z) who use the "word" in their songs.

Unfortunately, racism = ignorance. These morons will never understand what's right and what's wrong because they just don't have the mental capacity.

That word is used by people YOU would consider low class pieces of garbage. Why is it all of a sudden wrong to put Cooper in that same group when he uses it ?

No spin. It's pure fact. It's wrong for anyone to use the word, so show Cooper the same disrespect you have for rappers who use it. Wrong is ALWAYS wrong, and "they do it too" is no excuse for acting like a moron.

Then why all the outrage on sports media, specifically aimed at Riley Cooper?

If you want MY opinion, then come here. If you require a daily dose of aggravation, then stick with the lame-stream media. I never once said I was in favor of the media coverage. To me, my opinion is what matters. To them, making ratings is what matters. A wise man would have considered the source before asking such a question.
Now, I answered your question, what about mine regarding why you think Cooper should get a break, and the childish "they do it too" excuse should apply. Do you not believe that wrong is always wrong ?

In my opinion, "wrong" is not subject to gradation. Wrong is wrong. Period.

The Jewish-controlled media, and Jewish owner of his team are lambasting the guy. Meanwhile in Israel, the deportations and sterilizations of their Ethiopian and Sudanese illegal immigrants continues unabaided. Diversity for thee, but not for me.
