but at the same time you don't save too much money by cutting him, so just going to have to see what they do with him

If they Raiders specifically Mark Davis and his puppets are stupid enough not to work with Carson after he played for a minimum contract last year to help the team find cap space (even though he was due millions)
Then yes they will lose him. But they will also lose their jobs at the end of the year. Mark Davis ruined this team when he purposely destroyed it due to being green with envy because his father chose Hue Jackson to handle all Raider operations over him. As a result, baby Davis fired Hue and the rest is history.Baby Davis is a joke to the players and the other NFL owners . He is incompetent and should simply sell the team to John Madden or someone that actually bleeds silver and black, not green.
Carson was not the problem last year, he was the only bright spot in a sinking ship, full of a cast of characters and coaching staff, that couldn't make it in the Arena League.
Carsons receivers constantly ran the wrong routes,he had china dolls as running backs, led by Darren McFragile, and had a Defense about as real as Mantis girlfriend.
Just do the Raider Nation a favor Baby D' sell the team, and you are your sorry ass coaching staff take a slow bus to Green Bay.
Of course, there would be one positive to this idiot move and that would be the Raiders would get the number one draft pick next year.
Keep your jobs and pay the man, cut or trade McFragile, and find the money.

Carson is not work 13 Mil. The excuse worked for coming in mid season, doesn't work for last season. I'd rather move on now and work forward in hopes of getting this team to where it needs to be and on track.
It is hard spending good money on season tickets year after year without improvement. Make necessary moves now so we can look ahead. I'm willing to suffer through another season if necessary and going home grumpy if I see hope for the future and see an improvement on the field.

Wow! Did you really say mark Davis and puppets ruined this team? Gimmie a break. First and foremost how do you ruin a team that was in shambles? Best thing Mark has done was fire hue Jackson. He had the locker room divided. That is a no win for anyone. The changes McKenzie/Allen are making are setting us up for a chance at success for years to come. I will agree Palmer played well, but was not the only bright spot. Myers was but financially had to let him go for the big picture. Streater played very well for a rookie, and should do well for years to come. Wheeler played well. He wanted money. Timing not good to keep him. But these were bright spots last season.. We are a couple seasons from a serious playoff run. Had we stayed on the path we were, we may not have made a run for another decade. Patience, we will get there.

we'll see how much patience the fans have after this season "if" it goes bad. i mean, are you expecting another 4-12? or 6-6 season? tell you the truth i'm expecting a 6-6 season. hoping for an 8-8 at most. "wishfull thinking" but another 4-12 does not show the right direction. i gotta say, i have more hope for the hired coaches and our (D-coach) jason tarver to turn and make this season jump up two wins more, than d allen and mckenzie. and i give all the credit in the world to mark davis for having the patience cause he wasn't very happy the first season.

I don't really connect the decisions that are happening to Mark Davis. He was just listening to Ron Wolf, a former employee of the Raiders and a trusted Friend of his father when Reggie McKenzie was the recommendation. Case in point, Mark Davis was publicly upset when the Raiders "weren't progressing" last season. This is a good thing for the Fans. Afterall, the team is owned by the Davis's, not McKenzie and Allen.

Disagree. The team was not in shambles. Mark Davis did not fire Hue, Reggie McKenzie fired Hue. No evidence that Hue split the locker room (both Palmer and Seymour endorsed after him after he had left). Raiders never missed a Championship Game in a decade (until Cable's be everyone in the league and not make the playoff season), not likely they would miss the playoffs for another decade.

agreed...the Raiders had their 1st non-losing season under Jackckson.
From what I saw, forcing Palmer into Oakland is when the team started to go down the toilet again.

To me, this article does not confirm the theory that Mark Davis fired Hue (this is just Hue's opinion). It was clear that Mark Davis gave full operational responsibilities (football related) to McKenzie whe he was hired and McKenzie stated that he wanted to hire "his own guy" in Dennis Allen).

In the long run with good coaching and reps with the 1st team......terrelle pryor will be better than palmer. Palmer just doesn't have it mentally or as a leader / winner. There's a reason Cincy he didn't work out in Cincy

Pryor is not very close to being a reliable starter or better than Palmer at any point in my opinion. A lot of people compare him to Kaep of the 49ers and Wilson from Seattle. The difference is those guys can pass as well as run, and Pryor can run only. Pryor did show positive signs against San Diego (in extending the play mostly) and he seems like he wants to get better, but he struggled a lot with his passing in San Diego (a lot of floaters). I think if he comes this year as the back-up, he will more opportunites than he had last year and the Raiders will get a better idea of what they really have.

there are many articles that i went through. even a few that say even h jackson believes it was totally m davis . but that does not mean he fired hue jackson. there are other reports that say both mckenzie and davis had a hand in the decision which could be true. but it all comes down to a new (gm) wanting his own coaches. it is said that if a (gm) comes in, he wants his own coaches so that he does not take the blame for someone else's mistakes. which comes down to mckenzie's decision to firing hue jackson which mckenzie admits to "according to the articles". regardless the situation, he's gone! and it hasn't gotten any better. we went backwards on this deal. who knows what the future holds. all i know is people are buying into this "patience" "looooong haul" "new era RAIDERS". HAVING TO WAIT for years to get better for future wins does not guarantee a superbowl or playoffs. so, having to wait for years only to possibly getting nowhere is a waste of time. some say, "i'm willing to wait" (LOL), willing? you have no choice! you have to wait! it only feels better to say "i'm willing". and guess what? those who don't have the patience and are not willing to wait don't have a choice either!(lol). so to just watch us go backwards the first season sucked! starting this season, the same so far! sucks! knowing that this (gm) does not preach silver and black, sucks! the only thing that can make a difference is to compete and win more games this season. OR? this team could look at an empty stadium, with a bunch of disgruntled RAIDER fans.
see how much patience mark davis has. and the rest of the RAIDER nation that has to be patient.

I'm not sure if you "got the memo", but Pryor's gonna get a shot at the starting job. The HC & OC were actually impressed with his outing vs. S.D. I really can't blame them. If their gonna lose, do it with the young guy.

BTW, when other Qb's toss "floaters"...they call 'em "touch passes". Is he a "finished product" right now....absolutely NOT. Is he super polished...no. Is there room for Pryor to improve with good coaching...absolutely. Take a look at the story & the footage.

I think the HC was more surprised than impressed with Pryor against San Diego. The new OC was not even at the game. The "floaters" were not "touch passes". I saw the game. No problem with you thinking Pryor is the way to go. I just don't think that is the way to go and Palmer is the best option. Palmer does a lot of things well and many things that a team takes for granted until it is gone.

The reason he didn't "work out" in Cincy is a bit more complicated than that my friend. Chad Johnson was a drama queen, Rudi Johnson only had 3 good years, Carson rarely had a defense(when he did they usually made it to the playoffs), Carson didn't have much OL help, oh, and i still believe but obviously can't prove that the bengals would have gone on to the super bowl if that steelers defensive lineman didn't blindly lunge at his leg and buckle his knee.

Carson wants to win. All the time. He feels responsible for the team, as a QB should. If his team is up by 3 TD's in the 4th quarter, he is more than happy handing the ball off and playing small ball with the defense.

When his team is down 3 TD's in the 4th(and this happened a lot last season for example) Carson goes ape sh*t and tosses 2 TD's in 6 minutes to bring us close... then throws a pick because he was pressing.

Only the unenlightened and uninitiated see Carson as a QB who throws the game away. He was the reason most Raiders fans didn't commit mass homicide last year. He is a football player. Not a magician.

All that being said, im happy we have Pryor, and agree he has a CHANCE to be "better" than a lot of guys. But we will clip his wings if he gets thrown into the fire this year. Lets just continue to build the team and get some quality talent so when Pryor does take over, he doesn't have to do everything all the time by himself, because that's how guys get hurt and lose their edge.
