I just tried quorn's meatless, soy free chick'n patties. The main ingredient in them is mycoprotein and I'm not really getting anywhere reliable in my research. Most of the info comes from the company itself. The claims of it being mushroom based don't seem to be true. I'm just trying to figure out what kind of fungus I just ate. FYI it tastes a little too much like chicken. That may seem silly to say but I just hate the texture of meat.
