I think that is why I love Ina so much.There is no shame in her game so to speak. She is very round and plump as a result of her obvious love of good food but she "owns" it and wears it well. Ina,Nigella and Giada are these beautiful sensual "food goddesses".I like her image as sort of an earth mother,food goddess,nurturing female. She is such a polite soft spoken well mannered role model.Go Ina go.

Barefoot Contessa was good at first but losing its luster now. This country doesn't need overweight women like Ina and Paula grinning that evil smile as they drop a full stick of butter in just about everything.

It's not the way to cook these days. Maybe once a quarter or some big celebration, but they both need to drop 50 lbs and maybe start a show on how they achieved that.

Go to the mall or look down a street of people in America and the majority of women and men are fat and waddling and in a bad mood. Ina and Paula are just contributing to the problem.

When Ina is in France and the cam spans over the crowd, she's obviously the only fat woman in the whole crowd, plus she looks very self conscious of her obesity, something that will shorten her life, to be sure.

I am crazy about Ina - I think that she is the best chef in the world. Jeffrey is a very lucky man. They are lovely people and have a beautiful and life that anyone should admire.

abcd, I couldn't agree more. I was always taught that "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" and for god's sake don't put it in writing. Ina's the reason that I finally decided to cook(much to the happiness of my family). Her cooking is simple and elegant. Her style is flawless and casual. We should all aspire to have a marriage as laid back and comfortable as her 40 year marriage to Jeffrey. Keep up the great work, Ina!
