Can someone please help me? I find recipes for pan espaņol with olive oil, shortening, butter, as well as cinnamon in the recipe but I am searching for the recipe used in many Mexican bakeries, at least in Mexico City. I donīt know its place of origin in Spain. It is a slightly chewy bread (roll) with a light, sweet glaze on top - eaten with eggs or with coffee. Various shapes are used. We miss it very much here in New York. Thank you and hugs to anyone who knows this bread and replies to this desperate query.
