The Butcher, the Baker, the Wedding Cake Maker. These might sound like lyrics from a children's poem, but the Soquel-based kitchen is cooking up artisan goods fit for even the most mature pallet.

Edith Meyer is a class act. As a local wedding officiant I attend a lot of weddings, and I participate at local trade shows which are showcases for all of the local bakers who specialize in wedding cakes.
Edith stands above all of them for her gracious personality and her genuine love of her craft.
Her cakes are terrific too.
I wish her every success in this venture.

There are many fine eating establishments in Santa Cruz County, however, having attended four of these dinners I can with confidence say that the food prepared and served by The Butcher, the Baker, the Wedding Cake Maker is some of the finest food I've encountered, anywhere. The uniqueness and the seasonality along with the thematic approach to the menus add still to what is already an incredibly rewarding dining experience.
