I'm very happy to read this story and hope for a good harvest despite the late start. As the child of a farm family, I monitored the wet, unplanted fields across Ohio and Indiana with concern this spring- for our farm families and for the implications for American's capacity to feed the world. Could we now please drop the idiocy of putting corm into fuel and remember we are the world's bread basket? To divert corn to fuel is morally inappropriate when people are hungry. Even in the US, famine is possible when multiple natural disasters affect farming.

You have to admit with 8 dollar corn a couple weeks ago there was alot of farmers chasing the devils herd going for it so late in the season with a cooler than normal summer predicted.
