I have been hearing a lot about this puerto
rican restaurant,but I have yet to see any proof.
Can someone give me an address or phone number
to verify if it is open or not.

True, it is an American territory, but far from American TASTING food. I just hope this place really opens. I drove by in September and there's still a banner outside stating "El Coqui LA" but not opened yet. I hope this doesn't fall through. The I.E. needs a new restaurant.(And if you've never had Puerto Rican food, its NOTHING like Mexican food.)

I just called today and the number says disconnected. I am really looking forward to eating some hopefully good Puerto Rican food. I live in Victorville but I pass that area all the time.

The restaurant is not open. The status has not changed since last summer. There is an "El Coqui" sign covering the name of the previous establishment. There is no telling when or if it will open now. The owners were having trouble securing financing last year. Imagine their troubles now because of the recession.
