looks like anyone can grill food outside on the street like a lemon aide stand and
sell it to the public. So much for health control. This can't be legal.

Nice article. The picture you posted with this should get the attention of the State Health Dept. Where is the tent covering the food (required)? Hand washing facilities (required)No hat (required) and perhaps some gloves would be nice???
Nice to look like you know what you are doing, but really, "IF YOU GO, YOU SHOULD KNOW", look for the basic health requirements of just say NO.

The setup at the Farmers market is completely legal and safe. I have personally seen the inspector going through goldens farmers market setup with a fine toothed comb. Try his chocolate chip cookies. Fresh made and amazing. Also try the jerky from the jerky lady and the romocky cheddar brats slaw dog across the street. Also try the roasted red pepper and feta hummus from deenas gourmet. Also great is the Love Farms cave aged cheese from Love Farms which is sold as fish bait because it is illegal to sell that type of cheese for human consumption in the state of minnesota.

Kathy, You should do a review of the Farmers Market prepared food vendors like golden fig, goldens, jerky lady, river chocolate, deenas gourmet hummus, romocky cheddar, cave aged cheese, the egg roll booth, the corn cookers and laurent brothers kettle corn. That would be a very interesting article.

Why not include some cheesy food in your menu? Grilled cheese sandwich outdoor is really amazing. For Burger Tuesdays, try different cheeses from http://www.idealcheese.com . I heard they have this wide array of cheese to choose from to make the experience extra special.
