Well, when I try to open on TOPIX any story from the Daily Press, I get told I've got to subscribe to gain access.
Got that Newspapers are taking a hosing, etc, but I note that of the gajillion stories on TOPIX, the Hampton Roads Daily Press is the only one using this site as a direct advertising vehicle.

Given none of their stories to date have any real importance, I don't consider it a big deal.
But I will add that there is a reason I don't subscribe to our local paper, and while this isn't it, it confirms to me my decision not to.
