Local teenager makes dough with her own pizza business

Like a good employee, 19-year-old Carla Deemer loves to tell her customers about Friday's $6 carry-out special at Valley Pizza.

This is probably the most inspiring story I'll read about all year. While some of her peers are busy threatening dollar store clerks with screwdrivers or stuffing cocaine condoms up their rectums the night before graduation, she's actually working. For herself. Good job girl!

go girl, i did the same thing when i was 27 but w/ a deli. i eventually owned and operated 3 in washington, d.c. for 10 years. i had a great time, worked my butt off and made lots of $. i got out of the business when i had kids and they began to ask if they had a father. good luck, work smart - not hard. always watch the back door; you don't need any unauthorized partners.
